Many students aren’t taught how to study.

With exams approaching, I’m reminded of something I see every year: students are expected to know how to revise, prepare for assessments, plan essays and manage their time effectively, yet these skills are rarely taught explicitly.

The reality is that many students aren’t lacking ability. They’re lacking strategies.

At Level Up Learning, I help students develop practical study skills such as:

✓ Breaking large tasks into manageable steps

✓ Using planning tables to organise essay ideas before writing

✓ Developing revision techniques that improve retention

✓ Preparing effectively for SACs and exams

When students understand what they need to do (and when they need to do it) their confidence grows and their results often improve.

Study skills aren’t something students either have or don’t have.

They’re skills that can be taught.

The students who achieve their goals aren’t always the smartest in the room. More often, they’re the ones who have learned how to learn.
