Hey everyone, feeling ready to share some updates on myself. Really haven’t been able to talk or think about the matter as it has been pretty emotional. I’ve had to make the decision to step away from racing for the foreseeable future, not going to completely rule out returning if it feels right.
I’ve put my body through absolute hell these past few years, lifelong injuries that you would do absolutely anything to take back and a lot of those been things that I had no control over.
The amount of setbacks that I was put in, and busting my ass to get back to been competitive then setback again before been able to redeem any of my work to try feed Damo started really taking over my mind.
Towards the end I was not able to focus of practicing anymore, experiencing serious head noise when I needed to concentrate on the training, I’m not even joking when I said I was in tears while doing my practice motos, and I just kept getting worse to the point the depression and anxiety where creeping into my home life as well which was the final straw. I Need to take the time to heal my body, My team and close group around me have been absolutely amazing and understanding, all treating me like I where their own son that I’m so grateful for making this transition easier. I have so much to be proud of as this sport has taken me to unbelievable places and made so many new family members, it has done me well giving me a boosted head start in life and achieving more in such a short amount of time then most people do in their own life’s! I really don’t know where start yet as this is the only way of life I’ve ever known! But I could be living in a dumpster but as long as I have my little family that’s all I need
