And congratulations to Brodie Van Den Dungen, randomly selected from everyone who voted for the winning name!

Brodie now gets the VERY important job of deciding who will be the first person to don the Roary costume at our next big event!

BEHIND A GREAT SEASON IS A GREAT TEAM!

As we officially wrap up Season 2026, we want to take a moment to recognise the people behind what has been an incredibly successful year for the Mooloolaba Reds.

Firstly, to our Executive and General Committee - A MILLION THANK YOUS!

The work that happens behind the scenes of a community sporting club is enormous, and this group has gone above and beyond all year. Their knowledge, passion, hard work and willingness to pitch in have been the driving force behind so much of what we've achieved.

And there has certainly been plenty to celebrate!

From our Community Day at Apex Camps, new playing and training uniforms, a brand new website and emails, coach, manager and umpire apparel, specialist coaching and development sessions, four carnivals and three teams making finals, with our Raiders finishing Runners-Up - 2026 has been a BIG year!

We also celebrated 4 of our players making rep teams, Elise, Matilda, Havana and Sasha. 2 players, Kayla and Amayah's Lin Corbett runner-up awards, some fantastic fundraising results, new merchandise and, of course… OUR NEW REDS TIGER!🐯

None of this would be possible without our wonderful sponsors, whose generosity allowed us to reinvest directly into our players and club through uniforms, equipment, coaching, subsidised carnival fees, Community Day and our end-of-season celebrations. We are incredibly grateful to every one of you.

We are SO excited to welcome some brand-new Reds families onto our committee for next season, bringing fresh faces, fresh ideas and new energy to the club. ❤️🖤

We do, however, still have a couple of positions that need filling. If you have even a little capacity to help next year, please reach out! Many hands really do make light work, and our club is only as strong as the community behind it.

There is already so much we'd love to build on in 2027, including more coach education, pre-season squads, injury-prevention programs, Come & Try clinics and further collaboration with other clubs.

To our committee, sponsors, coaches, managers, volunteers, players and every Reds family who showed up, cheered, sold, baked, donated, helped and supported us this year - THANK YOU.

❤️🖤 WHAT AN AFTERNOON, REDS! 🖤❤️

And just like that… our 2026 season has officially been celebrated!

What a wonderful Presentation Day on Sunday, filled with barefoot bowls, plenty of laughs and a whole lot of celebrating everything our club and our players have achieved this year.

There were smiles and cheers all round as our players, umpires, committee members, 5 & 10 year players, graduating players and award recipients were called across the stage and recognised.

A day like this doesn't happen without some pretty wonderful people behind the scenes. A HUGE thank you to everyone who arrived early, stayed late, carried, decorated, organised and simply asked, “What can I do?” it was so appreciated!

Special thanks to our hostess with the mostest, Rebecca, who seamlessly MC'd the afternoon; Tilly for possibly the most AMAZING Reds cake we've ever seen; Rosa and Claire for tackling the mountain of uniforms; Emma for being our photographer and Karsha for another EPIC balloon arch!

And of course, thank you to all our Reds parents and families who came along to celebrate your kids and their 2026 season with us. You are such a huge part of what makes this club what it is.

Now… 2027! 👀

We have SO much we'd love to do next year, but quite simply, we cannot do it without volunteers. Many hands really do make light work, and even taking on one small role can make an enormous difference.

So please join us tomorrow night at our AGM and help us make 2027 even better!
