π΄ Is your diet helping your sleep?
Good sleep isn't just about what happens when your head hits the pillow. What you eat and do throughout the day can also play a role.
A few areas worth considering:
β Caffeine β timing matters, especially later in the day
π½οΈ Meal timing β avoid going to bed overly full or very hungry
π₯ Nutrition β make sure you're getting enough energy and key nutrients
π§ Hydration β stay hydrated throughout the day, while avoiding large amounts right before bed
π· Alcohol β may make you feel sleepy initially but can disrupt sleep quality
π Lifestyle β regular movement, stress management and a consistent sleep routine all matter
π‘ Remember: nutrition is only one piece of the sleep puzzle. You don't need to completely change your diet overnight. Small, realistic changes that you can maintain consistently are often the best place to start.
Which one of these could you improve this week? π

π₯ What does a balanced plate look like?
Healthy eating doesnβt have to be complicated. A simple way to build a balanced meal is to aim for:
π₯¦ Β½ plate vegetables β for fibre, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants
π ΒΌ plate protein β to support muscle, repair and fullness
π ΒΌ plate carbohydrates β for energy, with wholegrain options providing extra fibre and nutrients
π₯ + healthy fats β for flavour, satisfaction and essential nutrients
And remember β fresh, frozen and tinned vegetables all count! Convenience matters, and the best option is often the one that makes it easier for you to eat well consistently.
π The Healthy Plate Model is a guide, not a rule. Your needs will vary depending on your health, lifestyle, activity levels and goals.

π‘ Self-Management Strategies π‘
One of the biggest goals of physiotherapy is helping you become confident managing your own pain.
Movement, exercise, education and the right strategies can help calm an overprotective nervous system and improve long-term outcomes.
Recovery doesn't happen in the clinic aloneβit happens through the choices you make every day.
Which topic would you like me to cover next?

π R U OK? Day π
At All In One Health, we believe looking after each other is just as important as looking after your body. Today is R U OK? Day β a reminder to check in with the people around you, not just the ones who seem like they're struggling.
Sometimes the ones who need it most are the ones who seem "fine."
So today, ask someone: R U OK?
And really listen to the answer.
From our whole team to you and yours β we're here, we care, and we're always happy to chat. π
π¦΅How Physiotherapy Helpsπ¦΅
Physiotherapy isn't just about treating painβit's about understanding why you're in pain.
The goal is to identify the root cause, reduce symptoms, improve movement, and give you the tools to confidently manage your condition long-term.
Long-term recovery always beats short-term relief.

π± What does an anti-inflammatory lifestyle look like?
You don't need to follow a strict diet, eliminate entire food groups or survive on green juice. π
An anti-inflammatory approach is about the overall pattern of how you eat and live, not one specific food or supplement.
π₯¦ Eat plenty of colourful vegetables & fruit
πΎ Choose wholegrains & high-fibre foods
π« Include beans, lentils, nuts & seeds
π Enjoy oily fish & healthy unsaturated fats
π§ Stay well hydrated
π΄ Prioritise good quality sleep
π Move your body regularly
π§ Find ways to manage stress
π Avoid smoking and limit alcohol
And remember β you don't need to be perfect. Consistent, sustainable habits matter more than following a βperfectβ anti-inflammatory diet.
π‘ Think less about what you need to eliminate, and more about what you can add to your everyday routine.
Save this post as a simple reminder that supporting your health goes beyond food. π
β Not All Pain Is The Sameβ
Not all pain has the same cause.
Pain can come from injured tissues, irritated nerves, or an overprotective nervous system. Knowing which mechanism is driving your symptoms helps guide the most effective treatment.
Pain isn't one-size-fits-allβand neither is physiotherapy.
