Day 7 - Nindigully to the Gold Coast.
Last day of the rally! We started the day at the Nindigully Pub before setting off on the road to Goondiwindi. It was all smooth sailing until Brett and Kristie’s Falcon decided to blow its radiator. Luckily they had just picked up a new one after the last failure a couple of days ago. We were soon up and running again with everyone pitching in to help. From Goondiwindi we powered on towards the Gold Coast. We had to make another quick stop when the Falcon had some fuel issues, but that was quickly sorted. As we pressed on through the mountain ranges Queensland rolled out the welcome mat with a storm and rain, but undeterred we eventually made it to the finish line on the Gold Coast! What a trip, the Volvo soldiered on the whole way like a champ!

Day 6 - Nindigully
We arrived safely at the Nindigully pub. We
Had to stop a couple of times to change tyres for our teammates and eventually had to stop when we got a rock stuck in the rear brakes. we’ve camped by the river tonight and it’s a nice view!

Day 6 - Hebel Hotel QLD.
A lovely little pub and a great place to stop for a cold drink!

Day 6 - Goodooga Town and Artesian Spring
The hot spring was a nice surprise and despite being a hot day it felt fantastic to have a dip.

Day 6 - Bourke NSW to Nindigully QLD.
We started our day at the campsite in Bourke. Had a quick brekkie, changed a tyre on a teammates Commodore and headed on out the back o’ Bourke!

Day 5 - Silverton to Bourke. Woke up this morning to find one of our tyres had gone down overnight. Once we had that sorted it was over to the Silverton Hotel for brekkie before heading out on the road. First stop was Broken Hill to pick up a few things before heading to Wilcannia for our first fuel stop. Unfortunately one of our teammates broke down along the way with a bad radiator. As luck would have it we managed to borrow a radiator from another car that had transmission problems and got it up and going again. From there we stopped in at the Tilpa Pub and later Shindies Inn at Louth before making it into camp for the night at Bourke.
