What a way to celebrate the Arts โ and the special people who share in our studentsโ journeys. ๐๐
Fridayโs Junior School Arts Day and Grandparents and Special Friends Day brought our community together for a wonderful celebration of creativity, connection, and performance.
The morning began with an Arts Assembly featuring our talented Years 3โ6 students, before grandparents and special friends explored the Art Exhibition, visited classrooms for activities with the girls, enjoyed individual music performances, and shared morning tea together.
Then it was time for one of the most anticipated events of the day โ the Inter-House Singing Competition! ๐ถ Congratulations to Carmichael, who sang their way to win the Cup! ๐
The creativity continued into the afternoon, with students combining art and music as they designed and made their own musical instruments.
Thank you to all the grandparents and special friends who joined us, and to our students and staff who made the day such a joyful celebration of the Arts at PLC.

Year 12 student Isabella recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to London to take part in the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) at Imperial College London ๐๐ฌ
The 14-day STEM experience brought together students from around the world for an immersive programme of specialist lectures, scientific visits, research opportunities, and discussions with leading scientists. Isabella had the opportunity to deepen her understanding of physics, explore real-world applications of science, and connect with like-minded students from across the globe.
Experiences like these inspire curiosity, challenge students to think beyond the classroom, and open the door to exciting possibilities in STEM.
Weโre incredibly proud of Isabella for embracing this opportunity and representing our College on the international stage ๐
Last month, PLCโs Head of Pipe Band, Mr Alisdair McLaren, performed as one of the Lone Pipers at the world-renowned Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland.
Back in Perth, Alisdair swapped Edinburgh Castle for another impressive vantage point last weekend, performing as the official piper for the Fremantle Dockers from the rooftop of Optus Stadium ahead of their AFL Semi Final against the Geelong Cats.
From performing before international audiences in Edinburgh to building the atmosphere at one of Australiaโs biggest sporting events, Alisdair continues to showcase his passion for music and performance on some remarkable stages.
We are proud to have educators who not only inspire our students in the classroom and rehearsal room, but also practise their craft at the highest level.
Congratulations, Mr McLaren, on another memorable performance!
