Cobie Bevan brings light, laughter and a dynamic skillset to Brave Recovery. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science, Diploma in Mental Health, and a Cert IV in Life Coaching. Her roles as a Mental Health Case Manager, Recovery Coach and NDIS Support Coordinator, has seen her managing participants with significant and acute mental health diagnoses. She began her own consultancy business supporting NDIS participants in 2020. Her lived experience has given her first-hand expertise in grief, suicide, addiction, childhood trauma, and narcissistic abuse recovery. She has made it her life mission to affect positive change in people on their recovery journeys, supporting both clinical approaches and alternative modalities. When Cobie is not connecting with her clients, you will find her wrangling her three daughters and French bulldog as a single mother, striving for work/life balance at a yoga class, roller-skating, or at the beach.

Today is R U OK Day.

This one is personal to me - you'll hear why in the video.

If you're struggling, you are not alone. And if someone's been on your mind lately, this is your sign to ask them if they’re doing OK. Be vulnerable and brave, and check in with them. You’ll be surprised the impact that has.

At Brave Recovery, we support NDIS participants with mental health challenges. Reach out to us if you would like to hear more about what we do.

Testimonials like this show we are delivering on our purpose.

Adriana came to us needing space. Space to process what was going on in her life and figure out a plan.

For many people, finding somewhere they feel genuinely supported in their recovery - not just accommodated - is rare.

At Brave Recovery, our programs provide a safe space where people are supported to do purposeful work, and come away with tangible tools they can use in every day life.

If you know someone who needs a plan for their recovery, we’d love to hear from you.

We're called Brave Recovery because recovery requires bravery.

Attending a program, meeting new people, trying new experiences, and pushing beyond the limitations of your mind isn't easy. It's brave.

Hear from some of the people who have trusted us with their recovery journey. Their words mean more than anything we could say about what we do.

If you've been wondering whether this is for you, or for someone you support, hopefully these stories answer that 🩵

A moment of reflection.

Our culture at Brave is what makes us stand out from the rest, and the reason so many of our participants return again and again.

You can’t truly care for someone with mental health issues unless you’ve worked through your own - this is the foundation of every member of our team at Brave.

If you’re a support coordinator, carer or family member wondering what makes us different, this is it.

We’d love to hear from you 🩵

Testimonials like this show we are delivering on our purpose.

At Brave Recovery, creating a safe space where people feel valued, supported and cared for is at the heart of everything we do. There is no greater compliment than hearing a participant describe us as their second family.

If you, a loved one, or someone you support could benefit from time away to focus on their wellbeing and connect with others in a supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Our next Margaret River program begins on 31 July. Last few places available for self-managed and plan-managed participants 🩵

Sometimes everything you think you know about yourself and your world comes crashing down. It’s hard to know whether you are evolving into a wiser version of yourself, or completely unravelling.

You can look at it as having a breakdown - but really it's a chance for a breakthrough.

If you're in that space right now, you are not alone.

And you don't have to have it all figured out, you just have to keep showing up and taking baby steps 🩵

Many people know Brave Recovery, but fewer know the story behind why it exists.

I built it from grief, heartache, resilience and a deep belief that people deserve to be seen, heard and understood.

This post shares some of my story - the experiences that shaped me, how I show up in my life and the reason I am so passionate about creating spaces where people can learn, heal and grow.

If you have ever felt alone in your struggles, I hope this reminds you there is always hope. Everyone has the power to change their lives.

Thank you to those who have trusted Brave Recovery to be part of their journey. Your courage inspires me every day 💙
