Today, weโre celebrating those who dedicate themselves to supporting older Australians to live well, stay connected, and maintain their independence.
To our passionate iLA staff, we appreciate the work you do to make a meaningful impact and support better outcomes for older people across the nation.
Today recognises two important days to acknowledge the dedicated professionals making a meaningful difference in the lives of older Australians.
On National Day of Recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners and Aged Care Employee Day, we celebrate the vital role dedicated people like you play in supporting better outcomes for Elders and older people.
Every day, aged care employees help older people stay connected, maintain their independence, and continue doing the things that matter most to them. Your passion and commitment make it possible for older Australians to live well, age well, and stay active in their communities.
At Keep Able, we know that real wellbeing comes from staying involved in daily life. By embracing a wellness and reablement approach to care, youโre enhancing the lives of older people and shaping a more progressive view of ageing across the sector.
Thanks for the difference you make every day. Thanks for caring.

Empowering older Australians to remain connected to their communities while ageing is at the heart of our purpose.
Many older people experience loneliness or social isolation, particularly after big life changes like retirement, moving house, illness, or loss. This Loneliness Awareness Week, itโs time to make room for connection.
Weโre supporting Ending Loneliness Together as they encourage people to make room for each other at home, at work, and in their communities. Sometimes connection can start with a simple act of inclusion, a conversation, an invitation, or making space for someone.
In support of the week, our healthy ageing initiative LiveUp has brought together practical advice, services, and resources for older people experiencing loneliness and isolation.

โBe proud of who you are. Learn as much as you can. Sit and listen.โ
Stories carry knowledge, connecting people, culture and community across generations.
At iLA, weโre committed to amplifying lived experience and knowledge to support people and communities to live and age well. Through our initiative, LiveUp, weโre proud to share these stories through our ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฏ, including insights from Chris โBandirraโ Lee - a Gulumerridjin Larrakia Traditional Custodian of Garramilla (Darwin, NT), with cultural links to the Wardaman and Karrajarri peoples.
Chrisโs story reflects the importance of listening, learning and staying connected to culture, to community, and to Country as we age.

Today is
At iLA, our focus is helping people do what matters to them.
Assistive technology (AT) can be part of that - along with the right information, support, and chance to explore what works in everyday life.
As people navigate different changes in their lives, having that support and understanding can make a real difference.
Through AT Chat, LiveUp and KeepAble, we work alongside people to build confidence, share knowledge, and support real choices.
Itโs all part of supporting people to live and age well, their way.
๐ If youโd like to share, weโd love to hear how assistive technology fits into your everyday?
