Revolutions Transport Museum at @WhitemanPark showcases land transport and the Whiteman Collection

Today we would like to wish all horses of the southern hemisphere a very happy birthday!

It’s true – officially, Australian horses' birthdays are often noted as August 1st. This is a way of standardising their official ages, particularly in the racing industry.

At Revolutions, we’re huge fans of our equine friends – why not celebrate by coming in and checking out our horsey displays?

We are celebrating 50 years of NAIDOC Week these July school holidays! 🖤❤️💛

The theme for NAIDOC Week 2026 is ‘50 Years of Deadly’ so in true museum style, we have put together a display of previous year's NAIDOC posters.

Learn some of the Noongar names for the wildlife at Whiteman Park and collect the free wildlife stickers . Our Yarning Circle is back too!

Revolutions Transport Museum is open every day, 10am to 4pm. And while NAIDOC Week runs from July 5—12, these activities are available all school holidays.

We have a new bus on display, kindly loaned by the Bus Preservation Society of Western Australia!

A significant bus in the BPSWA collection, K17 - Regal Mark IV (1952) is the only bus from the Kalamunda Bus Service (KBS) known to survive today and claimed to be the first under floor engine bus in Western Australia.

To find out more about this lovingly restored bus and other buses in their superb collection visit the BPSWA website 👉 https://www.bpswa.org/aec-regal-iv-kalamunda-17.html

As National Volunteer Week draws to a close, we're taking a moment to celebrate all of the volunteers who give their time and effort, both here in Whiteman Park and further afield. You are cherished and valued. Thank you!

We would dearly like to thank our two treasures - Jan and Rod - who support our work here at Revolutions Museum too. Excitingly, Rod was commemorated for his 10 year service to the Park this year. An incredible milestone! 🥳

This year's theme is 'Your Year to Volunteer'. If you've ever considered joining the ranks, either here at the Museum, or with one of the other great volunteer organisations in the Park, check out all the info on the Park website, at https://www.whitemanpark.com.au/volunteer

Thanks Volunteers! ❤

As we all take a moment to reflect and remember the sacrifice of those who have served this Anzac Day long weekend, we offer an opportunity to also remember the animals who served alongside them, this month.

Until May 10, explore a special display that looks at the role ‘beasts of burden’ played, featuring objects from the Whiteman Collection.

Lest we forget.

The Museum will be open today and all long weekend, as usual, with commemorative display of objects from the Whiteman Collection.

What a stunning day to be down at Government House Western Australia for their 2026 Open Day!

We have brought out a horse-drawn wagonette featured in the 1986 miniseries, A Fortunate Life, based on an autobiographical story by Albert Facey.

The Open Day is open until 3.00pm today if you want to take a look!
