Well. That got a little too accurate.

I asked ChatGPT what the last page of a book about me would say.

Not what I’d achieved.
Not what I’d built.
Not what I’d managed to squeeze into a day.

Just… where it all ended up.

And apparently the whole point was never to do more.

It was to build a life I actually wanted to be in.

Bit rude, really. 😂

Newborn sessions do not need to feel stressful.

They’re slow, calm and baby led. We allow time for feeds, cuddles, changing and settling, and if your baby is awake for some or all of it, that is completely fine too.

These sessions are also not just about the baby.

They’re about your family as a whole. The way your baby fits into your arms. The way your older children look at them. The way this season feels while you’re still in it.

A few things parents are often relieved to know:

• I photograph newborns up to 6 weeks
• Parents and siblings are included
• Client wardrobe is available
• You do not need to “have it all together” before you arrive

You bring the baby.

This is Lennox.

Seven years old, endlessly curious, permanently moving, and capable of asking twelve completely unrelated questions before I have finished answering the first.

He wants to know how planets work, why animals do what they do, who invented things, how fast something can go, and whether the fact I just gave him is actually correct.

He does not simply accept the world as it is. He wants to understand it.

He is basketball shoes in the middle of the floor, a jiu jitsu uniform thrown over a chair, snacks disappearing faster than I can replace them, and a running commentary from the passenger seat everywhere we go.

He is clever and funny in a way that catches you off guard. A perfectly timed comment. A facial expression he knows he should not be making. That little look when he is waiting to see whether I will laugh or tell him off.

Usually, I laugh.

He is confident in some rooms and cautious in others. Fiercely independent until suddenly he needs me.

He feels everything deeply, even when he does not always have the words for it yet.

Photographing him is different now. He has opinions, ideas, and absolutely knows when I am trying to get something from him.

So I wait for him to forget about the camera and become himself again.

And then there he is.

The cheekiness. The confidence. The softness he tries to hide. The little boy he still is, even as he stretches further into the person he is becoming.

These photographs are not about perfect pictures.

They are about remembering him properly.

Lennox, you are loud, hilarious, clever, challenging, loving, curious and completely your own person.
