Dogs Downunder

When these two truly are you work buddies on 5 days a week 🥹 The excitement when I pull up to their house and fred is so happy that he grabs his harness in his mouth and Nala now cries when I get there.
We have loads of fun in the park and when I drop them home Fred will sometimes peak out the gate and watch me drive away 😭 luckily he only has to wait 24hrs until I’m there again!
Dog walkers create bonds with all the dogs they walk, it might just seem like a job but to us these dogs make our days better and we love every single one like out own 🥹.

Here’s what I’m actually managing behind the scenes…
- one dog is a long line, I can drop it but I have to keep my eye on him as he had meningitis and sometimes forgets where he’s going 🥰
- Another is reactive to high vis, and will also run to any dog he sees (he is then put on a lead or given a command to sit and given a treat until they have passed)
- Another is reactive to big dogs (again they will be told to sit and give the other dog space or leaded)
- Another resource guards (therefore we do not take balls but she still finds h***y nuts, but none of my dogs go near her)
- Lastly one of them hunts lizards so we go to parks where she can’t find them or if she does she is on her harness on a lead
Yes dog walking is so much fun but there is a lot that we are managing and we have to get to know all of the dogs quirks, this not only keeps them safe but all other dogs using the parks 😊 .

Well we didn’t expect that down pour today and typical it was when I was taking my precious Dachshund out 🤭.
