We are WA’s leading animal welfare charity organisation, preventing cruelty and promoting kindness.

When animals are let down by their owners, left helpless, traumatised and alone, they rely on RSPCA WA to step in and give them a second chance at life, love and happiness. Since 1892, RSPCA WA has worked tirelessly to prevent animal cruelty. We have rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed animals of many kinds and given them a second chance. We have educated the community and lobbied the Government to promote animal welfare and prevent cruelty. Our Mission:
Lead the improvement of animal welfare in WA through prevention and intervention programs, advocacy, and education. We do this through:
🐾 Promoting and enforcing animal welfare legislation and driving legislative change
🐾 Educating and influencing the community
🐾 Achieving organisational excellence and delivering best practice animal care. At RSPCA WA we are dedicated to improving the treatment of animals because we believe it strengthens our society, enhances our lives and contributes to a better world. We have made great strides towards our vision, but there is still a long way to go. RSPCA WA would simply not exist without individuals and organisations who share our vision. We rely on the generosity of animal lovers to contribute around $9 million each year, the majority of what it costs to carry out our animal protection work. In order to overcome the challenges of increasing demand, rising costs and a vast geographical service area, it is critical that RSPCA WA continue to grow its supporter base. Through personal donations and gifts, and corporate fundraising initiatives, as well as a calendar of events, we will work to connect with people who want to protect and save Western Australia’s most vulnerable animals.

Tomorrow you can make double the impact for animals like Lola! 🐾

Starting midnight tonight, every dollar you donate will be matched by our incredible dollar matching partners, until we reach our goal of $400,000. Thanks to our matching partners, Royal Canin, Peter Alexander Sleepwear, Bravecto Australia, Buildcom Construction WA, FTI Consulting and individual donors, your gift can go twice as far for animals in need.

Your donation will change the lives of animals like Lola, who was only 11 months old when her life suddenly changed.

Lola was surrendered to us after she was unexpectedly attacked by another dog in what was supposed to be the safety of her home. Her injuries were devastating, and heartbreakingly, her family couldn’t afford the veterinary care she desperately needed.

Thanks to our incredibly generous community, we were able to step in and give Lola the care and emergency treatment that she needed before being adopted by her forever family.

Tomorrow, your donation will help more animals like Lola get the care they need. Please, will you Give to Get Them Home?

Have you lost your Galah?

This adorable boy was found on Denmark Loop in South Guildford, and we're trying to get him back home.

His microchip tells us his name is Karri, but the details haven't been updated since he was rehomed a few years ago.

Karri is a sweet, chatty little character who loves a dance and an occasional conversation. 🦜✨

Please like and share to help reunite Karri with his family.

If you believe this bird is yours, please contact the RSPCA WA Shelter on 9209 9323. Proof of ownership will be required.

“He is the best part of my day” 💙 “If I didn’t have the pet insurance I wouldn’t have him”

Meet Vincent, known to everyone as Kip. 🐶

Back at only 6 weeks old, Kip’s owner, Callie, knew the second she held him “he was mine.” “He’s the funniest, sassiest puppy I’ve ever met. Lots of personality, brightens everyone’s day. He loves a cuddle.”

Then, on a normal day at home, Kip was attacked when an older dog turned on him. His injuries were substantial, requiring immediate surgery to save his life. 💔

Thankfully, Kip was covered with RSPCA Pet Insurance when it happened: “You may not think you need it. I definitely didn’t think I’d need it especially this soon but it’s a must. Pet insurance is what I’ll preach forever.”

We’re happy to share Kip is doing well post surgery, and if it wasn’t for the cone you’d never know something so life threatening had happened to him.

“My only advice would be act as fast as you can and to get pet insurance!”. “It took the weight of decisions and money off my shoulders and has allowed me to focus on getting him better.”

Thank you Kip and Callie for letting us share your heartbreaking story, one thankfully with a happy ending. 💚

Forever part of the RSPCA Pet Insurance family. 💙

‼️‼️ Blankets urgently needed ‼️‼️

We’re starting to run low on blankets, and the animals in our care need your help!

If you have any clean blankets at home that you no longer need, we’d be so grateful if you could donate them to us. We often receive lots of smaller pet blankets, which are perfect for our cats and smaller animals. But our dogs need larger and thicker blankets to make their space extra comfortable.

Blankets might seem like a small thing, but for an animal in our care, having something warm and cosy to curl up on can make a big difference.

We’re more than stocked up on towels at the moment, so please save those for another time! 😉

Doing a little spring cleaning this weekend? If you find any spare blankets tucked away, our animals would love to put them to good use. 🩵 Every blanket donated helps them feel a little more comfortable while they wait for their second chance.

📍 You can make donations to our Malaga Animal Care Centre (108 Malaga Drive, Malaga) during opening hours.

UPDATE: Case closed!
Bonny and Clyde have been adopted and successfully escaped into their forever home. 🥰

🚨 WANTED: two of the cutest criminals in WA! 🚨

Bonny and Clyde have been caught red-pawed, stealing hearts wherever they go.

Now, this bonded duo is on the run from shelter life and looking for somewhere they can settle in together - preferably with a comfy couch, lots of love, and a family to call their own.

Bonny is the brave one of the duo, while Clyde is a little more cautious. He takes his cues from his girl, and having Bonny by his side gives him the confidence to slowly come out of his shell.

They might need a little time to trust you, but once they do, you’ll have two very special best friends for life.

They've already stolen your heart, now let them steal a spot on your couch. 👀

Can you give these partners in crime a forever home together? Check out their profile linked in the comments.

Can't adopt? Like and share this post to help Bonny & Clyde make their great escape to find their forever home. 🕵️‍♀️🩵

Sweet boy Neil has come so far and now all he needs is someone to give him a chance. ❤️‍🩹

When Neil first came into our care he was emaciated, lethargic and frightened. He had barely any strength left, and his condition was heartbreaking.

Vets suspected the lack of fluids meant Neil’s heart wasn’t pumping enough blood to his body and his prolonged starvation had caused severe muscle loss.

But look at him now. 🥹

Since coming into our care, Neil has gained more than 20 kilos, and along the way, he’s gained something else too: trust. His little sparkle is slowly starting to come back, and we’re so excited to see the happy boy we know is in there.

A busy shelter environment isn’t the ideal place for this sweet boy to truly relax and shine. Neil can be unsure around men, loud or unfamiliar sounds, cars and rain, so he needs someone who will be patient with him, give him time to adjust and help him discover that the world isn’t such a scary place.

He would love a home with a big backyard and, ideally, another friendly animal to keep him company. Most of all, he needs people who can give him plenty of attention, structure, patience and love.

He has already come so far. Now, all Neil needs is someone willing to take the next steps with him.

Will you be the one to give Neil his chance? 🐾

Check out this handsome boy's adoption profile, linked in the comments below.

A big win for Yoda!!! 🥰

We recently shared that sweet boy Yoda was in desperate need of a foster home, and wow, do we have the update for you!

Since then, Yoda hasn’t just found his foster home… he’s found his forever home, too! 🥹

Yoda’s new mama told us that when she first met him at our shelter, she wasn’t quite sure what she was in for.

“Yoda was brought out, he was dusty and a bit hectic, looked like a bit of a ‘nut’ and I was a little wary! We had a chat and a pat in the meeting area and he seemed like he was ok and I thought well, come on, I’ll give you a go.”

And that decision changed everything for them both.

When Yoda arrived at his foster home, he showered his new family with love and kisses and followed his foster mama around like a shadow.

Their first week together wasn’t exactly picture perfect. Yoda was a bit restless and unsure, and their first walk together was quite the mission… they made it just 300 metres!

But day by day, Yoda began to settle and feel more comfortable. His foster family started to realise that this wasn’t going to be temporary. This was forever.

“We have now officially fallen in love. He is calmer, he sleeps well, walks well, gives us so much love.

“Yoda is now one of the gang, can’t imagine him not being here.”

Turns out the Force was leading Yoda home all along. ✨

A foster home gave Yoda the chance to relax, recover and show his family who he really is. And look where it led him. 🩵

Could you be the next foster carer to change an animal’s life? You can apply today via the link in the comments below.

Right now, we have eight black cats searching for their forever homes. 🖤

Just over a week ago, we shared how difficult it can be for black cats to get adopted. They can often be overlooked because of the old superstition that black cats bring bad luck.

But you guys showed them SO much love and support! 🥹 Will you do the same for these black kitties too?

Meet 11-year-old Mila, sweet kittens Fraggle, Riley and Mopple, as well as Madame Lady, Bruno and Twiggy. And finally, there’s Knightingale, who we previously shared, and he’s still waiting to be chosen.

Every single one of them is just as deserving of a loving family of their own.

Will you be the reason these beautiful black cats finally feel lucky enough to be chosen? And in return, we’re sure they’ll bring you lots and lots of luck! 🍀

You can find their adoption profiles linked in the comments below.

If you can’t adopt, please share this post far and wide to help these cats get seen by their future families. 🐈‍⬛

We all know a big part of the RSPCA is rescues. The animals given a second chance when they had nowhere else to go. That work doesn't happen without people who care enough to make it possible.

We wanted to bring that same care closer to home, to the everyday moments with your own pet. Because loving an animal isn't just about the good days. It's about being ready for the harder ones too, without the added stress of wondering how you'll cover the bill.

That's why RSPCA Pet Insurance exists, and why right now, new policyholders get their first 2 months free*. Because every pet deserves that same second chance, whether they're waiting in a shelter or already curled up on your couch.

Prince is living the life of his dreams! 🥰

Prince was adopted a few months ago, and it hasn’t just changed his life. It’s changed his new family’s too!

His forever family says he brings them so much joy, and they can’t believe they ever knew life without him. 🥹🩵

We hope these photos warm your heart as much as they warmed ours! Just look at how cosy, happy and settled he looks in his forever home.
