Top Fuel is not only about burnouts launches and flames, there is ultimately a winner to celebrate. This is Damien Harris, 2023 Goldenstates

Sydney Dragway 2015 and the TODAY show was there doing live weather crosses for media with Steve Jacobs as part of the promotion for Graeme Cowin's funny car show.
It was arranged that Steve would go for a ride in the three seater dragster and then wave off the wheelstanders in action at the next cross.
Probably fair to say that Steve was "apprehensive" before the pass, and may or may not have uttered the word which must not be heard on the telly when he got back to the line and describing his thoughts and experience of it all.

Been away and having a whole heap of fun with my favourite girl and family in Adelaide, so been behind in posts.
Starting again with the ultimate excitement machine and like nothing on earth - a Top Fuel -dragster at launch, 12,000 horsepower set free.

What's not to love

This memory is from the 2022 Westernationals and sees Mark Drew - Nitro Harley on his Top Fuel motorcycle, again showing clearly the sheer enormity of these machines that riders wrestle down the quarter carrying the front for most of each run.

I don't have much info on this bike since I got this shot of Mark Drew riding the new Top Fuel bike in partnership with Chris Matheson, after Chris retired Nitro Voodoo.
This was captured at the opening event at Dragway at the Bend in 2023. It was a very impressive debut, and got a lot of attention, but I am unaware of what has happened since.
If you can give us all an update on the current status, and if or when we might see it back on track, we would all be grateful.
