Host the 2027, 2028 or 2029 Australian Performing Arts Exchange.
Put your venue at the heart of the action and bring the Australian and Aotearoa/New Zealand live performance sector to your own backyard.
Expressions of interest have opened for venues or organisations interested in hosting APAX in 2027, 2028 or 2029. Submissions due by Monday, 26 October 2026.

🚨 PAC Australia Board Nominations Close TOMORROW 🚨
PAC Australia are calling for nominations to our Board and we are seeking a strong, diverse field of candidates to continue to strengthen our skills-based board representation.
We are specifically hoping to hear from individuals with a background in finance, governance, human resources, legal or fundraising/development — candidates need not come from within the sector to bring these skills. Growing the diversity of our Board is a priority too, and we particularly welcome nominations from people who identify as CALD or CARM, and from First Nations candidates.
To nominate, please complete this form noting you must seek PAC Australia members to officially nominate and second your submission.
If you don’t meet the above candidate requirements, but there is a superstar on your team who'd be a great fit, please also encourage them to put their hand up.

APAX comes to an end for another year and we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you.
Thank you to all our speakers, pitching artists and producers, our homes for the week of QPAC, Queensland Theatre Company, Metro Arts, The West End Electric and to our wonderful APAX partners: Maxwood Technology Australia, d&b audiotechnik, Schuler Shook, Charcoalblue, Vivaticket, Yamaha Music Australia, Hours After Design, Barking Gecko Arts, The Hey Mate Project and Brisbane Festival.
Thank you to our travel bursary supporters who helped to send delegates to APAX: Arts Queensland CreateSA, Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, Arts Tasmania, CircuitWest and Creative Australia.

Yesterday we wrapped another year of the Australian Performing Arts Exchange and for the energy, ideas and insight you brought to your week in Magandjin I Brisbane.

APAX Day 5.
We close the end of a very full week with the second day of our APAX conference - filled with panels, workshops and breakouts exploring the ideas and issues at the centre of the live performance sector today.
Thank you to everyone for the work and energy you brought to APAX 2026.

APAX Day 4.
We opened our APAX Conference with a special performance from Tenzin Choegyal followed by an enlightening conversation between musician Ben Folds and Rachel Healy (QPAC), facilitated by Fergus Linehan (Carriageworks) exploring the extent to which politics influences what is on our stages.
The afternoon continued with fascinating panels, deep dives, conversations and workshops exploring the important questions and provocations at the heart of the live performance sector.
Now into our final day of APAX 2026!

📢 PAC Australia Update 📢
We are delighted to share that we are expanding our east coast presence and opening a Gadigal I Sydney office led by our Executive Director Katherine Connor from the beginning of 2027 (we are still retaining our Perth office).
This is a strategic decision to increase PAC Australia’s ability to represent our members in-person, particularly in matters of national advocacy and government liaison.
