South East Metropolitan Softball Association was formed in the season of 1979/80, we have since grown as a Softball Association, providing competition, community and growth to those SOR. South East Metropolitan Softball Association was formed in the season of 1979/80, we have since grown as a Softball Association, providing competition, community and development for our local community. From our first season of 1979/80 with only four teams at Ferndale Oval, to 2020/21 where we now accomodate over 23 Softball Clubs with both Junior and Senior Sides, residing at Hossack Reserve. Building a community around women's softball is at the heart of SEMSA's seasonal competitions, where we pride ourselves on youth development opportuinities, and celebrate skills across our association through our representative teams, both at a junior and masters level. With evergrowing inclusivity we also pride ourselves on our junior grades being gender inclusive, and by providing an intergrated softball experience for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. U18 Boys State Championships - CHAMPIONS
That’s right, both of our boys teams brought home the shield from the weekend. We are incredibly proud of the U18 boys and the support from their families and coaches to bring this shield back to the association. You represented SEMSA with pride and commitment and we look forward to seeing your growth even further.

U14 State Championships - Boys CHAMPIONS
Well what can we say, these boys represented themselves and SEMSA with great pride and enthusiasm. Your determination on the field is the reason why you deserved the win.
Congratulations on a grand final win and we can’t wait to continue watching you develop your skills over the coming years.
A huge thankyou to the coaching staff as well that took this young group over the weekend, your dedication to our game is not overlooked

The long awaited VETS competition is back this summer at SEMSA.
After our first successful season we are excited to bring it back for the 2026/27 season.
We already have 1 team ready to go and need another 3 to nominate to make this viable.

There are some prerequisites required, including:

✅ Harassment & Discrimination E-Certificate
✅ Child Protection E-Certificate
