Happy 70th Birthday to a true living legend, A national treasure, and one of our country's most loved icons, Uncle Ernie Dingo.
For decades, you've shared your warmth, humour, wisdom and incredible talent with Australians from all walks of life. Through your work on screen and your passionate advocacy for Aboriginal culture and communities, you've inspired generations. On a personal note, I want to sincerely thank you for all the guidance, encouragement and advice you've generously shared with me over the years. Your kindness, wisdom, cheekiness and belief in others have meant more than words can express, and I'm incredibly grateful for your support.
Wishing you a wonderful 28th x2 plus 14 birthday filled with love, family, friends and the recognition you so richly deserve. Here's to celebrating an extraordinary life and an enduring legacy.

When I was a house painter, I got paid when the job was finished. When I have my car serviced, I pay the mechanic when the work is done.
So why should I have to wait one or two months to be paid for work I've already completed?
It's simply not acceptable.
If this continues, I'll be naming and shaming the individuals, businesses, and companies that refuse to pay on time. People deserve to be paid promptly for the work they've done.

25 JULY 2026 - PETER JETTA

Peter Jetta (c. 1872-1935) was a highly accomplished Noongar violinist and cultural trailblazer from Western Australia. The son of cricketer Paul Jetta, Peter grew up at the New Norcia Mission, where he and his brother Benedict became prominent musicians. Alongside local players, they formed a celebrated string orchestra, playing sacred music in the Benedictine Abbey and popular songs for weekly community dances.

Rather than allowing the European instrument to erase his heritage, Peter reclaimed the violin on his own terms. He masterfully used it as a hybrid expression of identity, fusing old and new songs at bush campfires, weddings, and gatherings across the Kellerberrin district to keep community connections alive during an era of heavy colonial disruption.

An assertive advocate, Peter also co-authored an 1890s legal rights petition. His rich musical legacy lives on through his great-grandson, singer-songwriter Phil Walley-Stack, and pioneering contemporary First Nations string players.

I’m excited to be returning to the Ellington Jazz Club on Sunday, 20 September 2026 for a special evening of music.

This show is a journey through my musical story sharing my original songs alongside some of the timeless songs written and made famous by legendary Aboriginal singer-songwriters who have inspired generations. It’s an opportunity to celebrate our stories, our culture, and the music that continues to bring people together.
