Gosh I’m going to miss capturing all of my beautiful Hedland fams 🥹

We’re currently in the Isle of Skye, it was one of my MUST see places with loads of hikes planned! Wellllll Mother Nature has other plans! It’s pouring sideways rain and windy as heck! Definitely not something I’m prepared to take the kids mountains hiking in! So we’ll do something that I’m really good at, we’ll pivot and find things that we can do in the rain. A few shorter hikes that don’t run the risk of a small human getting blown off a cliff 🤣

I’m in a weird space right now… I have no idea what time it is back home, I have no idea how posting at odd times will affect the gram algorithm… do I care?? Absolutely not 😜 so whatever time and day you see this, I hope it puts a smile on your face!
We’re off on the next journey today, picking up our rental car and heading for the country side. And my little nature loving heart can NOT wait 💚

Ali and I got talking one night about how we had both outgrown our wedding photos.
My own… they remind me of such a hard time in my life, I had just had a baby and was carrying around the weight of being a new mum and a new wife and about 25 extra kgs that I fought like crazy to drop! (It didn’t happen 🙊)
Then the month after my wedding, the man who stepped up to be my Dad tragically passed away in an accident.
I received my wedding photos a week after his funeral… and for the longest time, I just couldn’t even bare to look at them!
There was so much joy and so much heartbreak in that one month! I just feel a complete disconnect to the person I am now.
So the images sit there, gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere… I’m actually not even sure where they are.
Because looking at them just takes me back to that place of heartbreak.

So when Ali said she had a crazy idea… she wanted to redo her wedding photos… I was like fu*k YES 🙌🏼 let’s do it!!!
And now she has photos that feel more like her 💕
Her family is complete, her love has grown and there was zero expectations on the day to be anything other than just ‘Ali’ 💕

This ever gorgeous mumma, patiently awaiting her 2nd little babe ✨
Maybe big sis will teach her some cool tricks… like how to shovel as much sand as humanly possible into your face 😜
