Short+Sweet Perth

As an open access competitive theatre festival, Short+Sweet Perth brings together a broad range of artists. Professional performing artists will work alongside talented enthusiasts, as well as artists with more experience and expertise in other artforms trying their hand at theatre. Short+Sweet Perth will be at once local and international. Plays are submitted from all over the world, and the festival director will shortlist approximately half of the festival’s content from local writers, and half from interstate and overseas. Directors and actors are all local. Short+Sweet Perth is presented in proud partnership with the Perth Theatre Trust. After the inaugural season in 2021 at the Subiaco Arts Centre, Short+Sweet is back for its second season at the SAC in May - June 2022.
