Feng Shui Wisdom

2026 is a Fire element year, and we are currently in Period 9 of Feng Shui (2024 to 2044), which is also represented by the Fire element.

This year is a Yang Fire year, and the energy has been particularly hot! I know lots of people have felt it. It’s been exciting and productive, but it’s also intense and overwhelming.

While doors to growth, opportunity, and expansion were all possible this year and still are, pressure on the nervous system can also follow – your mind and body can agonise.

There are still a few months of this energy left.

To help you get through, take the time out for more rest, more calm, more stillness.

Spend more time in places that naturally settle the nervous system, such as quiet gardens, parks, the beach, or any peaceful outdoor space.

Sit under a tree, watch water, listen to birds, do something where you simply sit in stillness.

The power of blue! The colour blue in Feng Shui represents flow and adaptability, as well as emotions.

It can help create a calm and reflective feeling in a space and offer clarity and emotional balance.

It supports the North section of your home, which will assist you with enhancing your career and business endeavours.

Did you know…? If you have a home office setup, positioning your desk against an appropriate wall is best, as it provides support.

Ensure you are not sitting with the door or window behind you. If this is not possible, sit on a high-back chair. This gives the illusion of support.

You can also add a picture of a mountain on the wall behind you; this is also symbolic of support.

There is so much more to know about your room setup - all of them!

As I’ve moved through this year’s energy, I have felt blessed that the Universe guided me to Feng Shui all those years ago.

I say blessed because the knowledge I have has helped me navigate the year’s intensity. There have been times this year when I have felt ‘in a hurry’. In a hurry to finish things off and get to the next. But nothing has been crucial enough to have detrimental effects. It’s just been a feeling.

That’s what horses do – they gallop! For me, the Fire Horse’s energy has had fast momentum with a sense of urgency. But knowing this has helped me centre myself.

I have been able to calm my mind. I have had rest and recuperation days. I have spent time with nurturing friends. I have done things that have soothed my soul.

2027 is Year of the Goat, and while it will be another Fire element year, the energy will be different – really different.

As always, you will need to be prepared. I will be sharing everything you need to know for a successful 2027 at my seminar next year.

The power of red! The colour red in Feng Shui represents joy and passion.

It is a bold colour choice and draws attention. It lifts the atmosphere of a space, making it feel more vibrant and alive.

It supports the South section of your home, which will assist you with enhancing all your endeavours to do with fame, reputation and recognition.

How did we get to mid September?! September is the 8th month of the Chinese Calendar, which goes until 8th October. I’ve heard so many people comment on how fast this year has gone.

While time moves in the same manner, the Fire Horse’s energy this year has given a sense of speed. It’s been fast, it’s kept momentum, it’s had intensity. It’s lived up to all its expectations!

Also in September, we have double the Feng Shui energy happening in each compass location – both good and bad. I have written about all this energy and what to do about it; feel free to scroll through my page if you have missed any.

A reminder about the current energy: It’s a good month for practical decision-making to shine through, but… be clear in your communications, be transparent in your dealings, and the energy will reward you.

More immediate monetary gains are possible, as well as a greater time of general abundance and happiness.

More success and fulfilment in career/business, opportunities for fame and recognition, and happy family occasions are all possible.

Use the South East area of your home as often as possible if it's conducive to do so. Activate the energy with lots of liveliness, play music, sing and dance!

More assistance can come to the forefront with your money-related pursuits. You must, however, act with honesty in your dealings.

Good integrity will see this energy manifest more easily for you.

If the East area of your home is conducive to doing so, use it as much as possible.

The possibility of an increase in theft, as well as rumours, gossiping, and backstabbing.

Check your home security system, your smoke alarm, all door and window locks, and don’t click on links without proper thought. Stay on alert for deceitful people in your dealings.

Help suppress this unwanted energy with more décor colours blue and or black in the South West.

More blessings from Heaven this month, coming to the North.

An increase in speculative luck, windfalls, career/business contacts and networking.

Things can fall into place more easily!

To help increase this energy in the North, add the colours gold, silver and or white, or décor made from Metal.
