Rita is an attendee at Ballroom Fit held in Perron Place’s Handa Hall, however she is so much more than just a skilled dancer. 💃

Rita sits on the EverAbility Group Board and works as a lawyer - a very busy woman!

When Rita was little she had a passion for dance, but due to her vision loss was discouraged from pursuing it. So when she came across Ballroom Fit, a dance company that specialises in low vision dancers, Rita jumped at it.

Immediately Rita was hooked. Not only does Ballroom Fit give her the opportunity to dance socially and competitively, but it also means she can spend some quality time with her husband, Mark.

“They [Ballroom Fit facilitators] are so nice and supportive, they know how to guide you, especially vision impaired people. It’s a social event and something to look forward to, in a really pleasing space.” - Rita.

Siobhan Duffy is a registered JP and is offering her services free at a weekly JP Signing Station for the Victoria Park community.

Siobhan is also a carer to Guide Dogs WA brood, Rio, who will be lending a paw and accepting pats on the day too.
