‘Feature Friday’ - today I am showcasing the finished product of what I have been working on recently, and of course it needs to be purple 💜 If you have been following along you may have seen me blending the silk & merino wool fibres on my Majacraft hackle, then dizzing the blended fibres, spinning and winding the yarn. Here’s proof that not everything goes according to plan! After finishing weaving this super cute little shawl pin/brooch I removed it from the mini loom just a bit too early - I had forgotten to sew the hem stitch to keep everything secure and in place! As a result it quickly unraveled and needed to be undone and started all over again 😫 I must admit though that a bad day in the studio still beats going to work. Have you had any mini disasters lately? 🧶🩶

‘Feature Friday’ - today I am showcasing the ‘Azure’ scarf 💙 I have crocheted this boomerang style scarf with a combination of my own handspun yarn and a local Alpaca yarn, which means it is super cosy and perfect if you are visiting the snow this Christmas ❄️ It also includes the beautiful brooch pin from Scotland. Here is the most beautiful pearl pendant created by the lovely Luna from Seabreeze Boho Jewellery by Luna especially for my daughter’s upcoming wedding. Luna’s jewellery is all stunning and made by hand right here in WA 🤍🩵

‘Feature Friday’ - this week I am showcasing the perfect lightweight scarf for Spring! Handwoven on my wooden rigid heddle loom using linen, cotton and some of my own handspun yarn for the stripes. Super cute rosettes have then been created with my handspun yarn intermittently along the length of the scarf. Perfect for keeping the breeze at bay. ‘Working on Wednesday’ - after blending the silk & merino wool fibres on my Majacraft Hackle it is time to ‘Diz’ them off ready for spinning. I used a wooden spoon that Hubby drilled a few holes in for a diz as it is easier to hold. Have you had the chance to be creative this week? 🧶🩶
