🌿 Sienna Wood Cell D Pocket Park Taking Shape 🌿

Great projects are always the result of strong partnerships. This pocket park in Sienna Wood is a great example of what can be achieved when developers, landscape architects, landscape contractors and play specialists work together to create spaces that communities can enjoy for years to come.

We're proud to have partnered with Landscape Australia on the delivery of the Sienna Wood Cell D Pocket Park, bringing to life the vision developed by Emerge Associates and creating a vibrant destination for local families to play, connect and spend time outdoors.

A big thank you to Stockland & DevelopmentWA, for their commitment to creating quality outdoor spaces that bring communities together. We'd also like to acknowledge our valued play equipment partner Willplay whose innovative play solutions helped bring this project to life.

The result is a welcoming pocket park that provides a destination for play, connection and outdoor activity within the heart of the community.

Learning, playing, communicating. Inclusive play starts with creating opportunities for every child to connect.🤟

Playgrounds should be places where every child feels seen, included, and able to communicate.

Features such as Auslan Alphabet panels help create more inclusive play environments, supporting children of all abilities to connect, learn, and play together.

Because play is more than just physical activity. It's about communication, friendships, and belonging.

A simple table, a big community impact. 🏓

We've recently completed the installation of a new outdoor ping pong table at Oxford Street Reserve, Leederville for the City of Vincent

Positioned alongside the reserve's skate facilities and just a short walk from the vibrant Oxford Street café and retail precinct, this addition provides another reason for people of all ages to stop, connect and be active.

What we love about facilities like this is their simplicity. There's no booking required, no membership fees and no barriers to participation. Whether it's friends meeting after school, families spending time together on weekends, or someone taking a break from the nearby café strip, a table tennis table creates opportunities for spontaneous recreation and social connection.

As our urban areas become denser, it's often these small pieces of community infrastructure that help transform a park from a space people walk through into a place where people gather, interact and build a sense of belonging.

Great to see the City of Vincent continuing to invest in accessible recreation opportunities that encourage healthy, active and connected communities.

🐉Dragons are ancient. Playground design isn't.

For thousands of years, dragons have captured imaginations. They're one of the oldest symbols of adventure, courage, and storytelling.
Yet if you look at how we'd create a dragon-themed playground today compared to even 10 years ago, it's a completely different world.

💡Advances in materials, manufacturing, 3D modelling, engineering, and safety standards now allow us to create larger, more immersive play experiences that were once impossible. Timber-look aluminium, precision CNC fabrication, complex rope structures, durable coatings, and detailed theming mean playgrounds can deliver both imagination and longevity.

💭The goal hasn't changed: inspire children to explore, imagine, and play.
The tools we use to achieve it just keep getting better.
This dragon concept is a great reminder that while stories remain timeless, playground design never stands still.

💡 Great school play spaces don't need to be delivered all at once

Last year, we worked with Wellard Primary School to install a range of colourful playground markings designed to encourage movement, learning and play throughout the school grounds.
This year, we were pleased to return and help further enhance these play opportunities with the addition of:

🎲 Two Dice Spin panels
🏀A new Ball Toss game
🏗 Two Sand Diggers

These simple yet engaging play elements complement the existing playground markings and help create even more opportunities for active play, social interaction, problem-solving and imaginative exploration.

One of the things we love about school projects is seeing spaces evolve over time. By building on existing play investments, schools can continue to introduce new experiences that keep students engaged while maximising the value of their outdoor environments.

Dolphins play a vital role in maintaining healthy marine ecosystems, helping to keep food chains balanced and serving as indicators of ocean health. Their intelligence, curiosity, social behaviour and love of play have fascinated people for generations.
Those same qualities are reflected in the way children learn through play.
