the magnificent wildflowers of this corner of the world are doing their thingggg! 🤩

this is my 3rd wildflower season since moving home, and each year I’m ASTOUNDED at the beauty and diversity bursting forth.

each season I see flowers I’ve never seen before (there are over 12,000 species, after all!)

the flowers know what to do. (imagine if they didn’t bloom!! Life as we know it would cease to exist.)

the same is true for each of us bringing our unique gifts and colours forth. they might be buried under a lifetime of conditioning and trauma, but they are there, and they are needed for the beautiful world we’re co-creating now.

women!! have you celebrated yourself lately?? I heard a quote this week that called me forth immediately -

“I think female self-celebration is the cure for the patriarchy” - Kasia Urbaniak

It’s not the first time I’ve heard about the importance of celebrating, but I definitely needed the reminder!

so I reflected on what simple action I could take that day,

promptly added “lie on the earth in the sun and journal and read and eat chocolate” to my to-do list

and got to it (ok, fitted it in between the other things on my list) that afternoon ☀️

it’s amazing how much fuel even a short (but very intentional) reset like this can give you.

I even took it a step further and wrote a long list of things I’m celebrating

we took it way back with some songs off the first album, and also sang the new one GIVE LOVE for the first time together!

it’s just the best feeling when we get to share the songs and they do what they came to do - spread upliftment, encouragement, inspiration, hope and good good energy in this world 🌎
