Rewilding Suburbia is my new favourite book by Mel Logozzo 😍. It's filled with tips growing food while supporting biodiversity and so much more. A beautifully made book, enjoyable to read, practical and inspiring. Check out Mel's page . The book is available from most book sellers and would make a great gift for anyone interested in gardening, biodiversity and helping make a difference in their own backyard📖💚🦋🌾🐛🐸🐌🦎

Well this is pretty exciting! I just picked up the new issue of Better Homes and Gardens magazine and there’s a little bit of my book, Rewilding Suburbia, in there!

Read about some of my favourite backyard bugs, Tinder style, complete with their red flags 🚩 what they’re looking for and who they’ve matched with 💕

It’s also packed with goodies from NATASHA MORGAN Ingrid Devlin | RN • Horticultural Therapy 🌿 Clancy Lester - Bee Man 🐝

Grab a copy and have a squiz.

Congratulations! You grew aphids. | Rewilding Suburbia 22/09/2026

Congratulations! You grew aphids.

Before you panic, spray them, squash them or declare war on the veggie patch, get closer.

Who else is there?

Because while the aphids might be having an excellent week, the ladybirds, hoverflies, lacewings, tiny parasitoid wasps and spiders may have already noticed too.

One of the biggest shifts in the way I garden has been learning to stop asking only “What’s eating my plant?” and start asking “Who’s got this under control?”

So I wrote a little story about aphids, food webs and why something eating your plants doesn’t always mean something has gone wrong.

Also aphid mummies.

Obviously.

Turns out I’m exactly the kind of person who writes about native plants, wildlife habitat and compost, then puts a Mean Girls reference in a chapter heading.

Rewilding Suburbia, but make it culturally relevant 💅
