E-WA Rotary
E-WA Rotary a modern, flexible Rotary Club. We organise online but volunteer and have fun in person Our meetings entail logging into a weekly “webinar”.
About E-WA
EWA Rotary Club is Western Australia’s first online Rotary E-Club. Online Rotary E-Clubs around the world allow members to give to the greater community when getting to meetings is difficult. E-WA Rotary acknowledges the traditional custodians throughout Western Australia and their continuing connection to the land, waters and community. We pay our respects to all members of Aboriginal communities and their cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging. Learn more about the traditional lands of First Nations people here: https://aiatsis.gov.au/explore/map-indigenous-australia
EWA Rotary caters to members who are:
* Located too far from a Rotary Club to make regular meetings
* Required to travel for work, including Fly-In Fly-Out professionals
* Unable to leave young children, or family members during typical meeting times
We conduct our work online, with occasional face-to-face meetings at different locations around WA. Alternatively, members who cannot join a scheduled meeting can login anytime and participate in discussions in our online group. Our members find ways to use diverse locations, and online presence to help our local, and global communities. Want to find out more? Contact Kate or Kero by way of a message to this page.

Yesterday we quietly celebrated the 40th anniversary of Kununurra Rotary and all the wonderful Service above Self delivered by 3 generations of Rotary volunteers in KNX and beyond. It almost came to an end 2 years ago, but then long-serving President Natika Wright, Jane Lowe, Andrea Bolten, Ruth Boyce, YEVie and friends stepped up to keep Rotary alive in Kununurra through an innovative transition to E-WA Rotary.
And we're glad they did. 😊

Now that we have had a day to recover from the fun and fellowship that has occurred around the Devonshire Tea Kitchen a few thanks and acknowledgments need to be made!
Thank you ever so much to the hardworking volunteers from the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show and Herbarium for your welcoming and enthusiastic support for us to man your kitchen for the weekend! This has afforded us a wonderful opportunity to bring us all together in service! It’s not often we all have the chance to work together on a project when we’re scattered from top to bottom of WA!
Thank you also to First Quantum Minerals for the generous support of providing accommodation for our volunteers, it made a difference for those who came down to be able to support this project with us!
Thanks to our friends at ORDCO Ord River District Co-operative Ltd for the provision of the beans to help us with our soup making activities to be able to serve up delicious soups to our wildflower buffs! They were discussed at length over the two days!
A huge thank you to the Dessert Family for sharing Spike’s Beans recipe with us so that Tik, Ruth and Andrea could recreate a dish that was served at Rotary Club of Kununurra events courtesy of Spike! It was so wonderful to be able to bring a little of the story of RCoK to the great southern region!
Many stories were shared, some of other clubs and their successes and challenges.
Some of us saw people who knew us from
Kununurra and further afield! As large as WA is, it’s still easy to meet somebody who knows somebody you know!
Thank you also to our members for embracing this project - all of the work behind the scenes to make this happen and the energy and enthusiasm for the team work in the kitchen - and to potential new Rotarians around the place - send us a message, we’d love to have you on board! 😉
We look forward to exploring if this could be an annual event for us!
Happy wildflower hunting all!

And that, folks is a wrap on our inaugural Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show Devonshire Tea kitchen service! What a wonderful weekend we have had!
There is still a whole week of RWS2026 activities happening around the area! Now to check out some of the wildflower show activities!

We are in the Red Room! Our first customers of the day are from Bundaberg, Qld! Loving our scones and banter!
If you know someone who’s at the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show and Herbarium this weekend - tell them to pop in and say hi!

One Rotary Club. One very big state.
Tomorrow, E-WA Rotarians from Kununurra, Bruce Rock, Perth and Hopetoun are coming together in Ravensthorpe to take over the Devonshire Tea & Soup Kitchen at the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show and Herbarium.
It’s a great example of what our E-Club is all about. We might live hundreds – or even thousands – of kilometres apart, but we connect online, work in our own communities and come together in person for projects, fellowship and service.
If you’re visiting the Wildflower Show this weekend, come and find us for homemade soup, scones with jam and cream, tea and coffee – and have a chat with us about Rotary.
Too far from a traditional Rotary Club? You can still be a Rotarian.
🌿 See you in Ravensthorpe!

Invigorating weekend in the open air. Together with friends from Mill Point Rotary Club, Applecross Rotary and community neighbours, we worked with SERCUL to plant 810 native seedlings on Saturday and 871 on Sunday. The Piney Lakes area was a pine plantation so reintroducing biodiversity is essential for improving soil health. Big thank you to everyone who braved the elements! Our Treemission project is a fantastic hands on way to help the environment. Join us to be involved in planning the next planting.
