A quick PSA: I'm going to be rather quiet on socials for the next couple of weeks. I've had so many portrait sessions recently that I'm hunkered down in the editing cave, getting my client work done.
I'll still post stories when I can, but my focus will be completing all the wonderful portrait shoots I've done recently. It's been a great mix of engagement sessions, family, and newborn shoots ❤

Planning a wedding is daunting. You've got so much to plan and so many vendors to book and choices to make.
But at the end of it all, are the people you love. The best day of your life isn't made that way because you chose the 'perfect' dress, or the 'right' colour of flowers. It's who you surround yourself with and the experience you have together.
I have photographed weddings big and small, with big budgets or modest ones, and one thing is true: you and your loved ones will remember the amazing time you had together, because of LOVE ❤️

What if imperfection was the whole point?
We often hear about people wanting the 'perfect photo', but what if what makes a good photo IS the imperfection?
Your kids can smile for the camera, but I adore the giggles, the dramatic frowns, the messy hair...it's what makes us human.
AI has gotten so good that it's now sometimes hard to tell a real photo from a 100% fake one. But AI can't replace real experiences or real people.
And I am here for the REAL ❤️

Photos grow more important with time.
When you lose someone you love, the photos and videos of them become so much more precious, knowing that these are the last images of them.
I've learned over the years that being a photographer isn't just about taking a nice photo - it's preserving the memories of people (and pets) you love.

When you do a family session with toddlers or small children, it feels like the kids are running around, being chaotic and playful. All the while you’re thinking; “Did we get any nice photos?”
My answer is always YES! You’re so busy trying to get the kids together, you don’t realise I’ve already taken the shot. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how quick I work, because kids are not going to sit still for long.
When you know it's your last pregnancy...you do something a little special 🥰
Steph was expecting her third little bubba that would complete her family. She said to me that she wanted to get some nice photos as she hadn't done a maternity shoot with her other two kids.
So we did one with the family, and then one just for Steph ❤️
