Brrr! A chilly morning today with a fresh 3 degrees around dawn. But tomorrow the Cana Communities food truck will be back to warm you up, with great coffee, drinks and hot food. Come for the food, stay for a chat. Wednesday 9-10.30am at the Freo footy oval, all free, and the Street Doctor onsite too. 💜

The Fremantle Food Truck serves two vital purposes at Freo Footy Oval. For the women of Rachel's Joy, the opportunity to upskill in hospitality and community skills, building the confidence needed for a new start.

For those stopping by for a coffee, it is a consistent point of connection and a site for mobile healthcare through our partners at the Fremantle Street Doctor.

It is where professional training meets community outreach, one cup at a time. The food truck operates every Wednesday morning, 9:00–10:30am.

This NAIDOC Week, we're looking at a piece of art that hangs on the wall at Rachel's Joy, our house for women in Perth, on Whadjuk land.

It was painted by a woman who once called Cana home here in Perth. Today, this painting is still with us, and a part of her story remains with us.

Once a month on a Thursday at St Paul's Hall in Beaconsfield, the tables fill up with board games, a sausage sizzle, and a few good prizes up for grabs.

For people who've spent long stretches feeling disconnected, a regular afternoon like this is worth more than it sounds. Same place, same faces, something to look forward to. 💛
