We had the privilege last week, to work on one of the oldest homes in Gooseberry Hill! The owner wanted to get rid of the asbestos walls and renovate, without losing the original appeal of the home. With minimal disruption to the original structure, we strengthened and lined this kitchen, added a feature arch and did our very best to work with what the original builders left us. 3.8m high peak and square set on a building like this is no small feat!

This is a really simple picture of a custom size manhole. The job itself was not simple! A common problem in apartments seems to be the hot water system in the laundrette. Often the ceiling above needs to be destroyed in order to repair or perform maintenance to the unit. Installing a manhole such as this means free access to the pipework and electrics above, without needing to ruin the ceiling each time.

This home in Swan View had some terrible termite damage to a below standard wall. Within the day, we removed, replaced, and level 5 finished the wall - all ready for paint!

On this beautiful renovation in Menora, among many other jobs on the project, we custom made these fireplace breasts complete with TV cable nooks and matched in colonial cornice. We also had the privilege of installing 4 completely different ceiling roses. At 3.6m high and laser leveled to perfection, this was a welcomed challenge!

A brand new ceiling to this brand new bathroom! Remember, if possible, to get your ceiling in before the shower screen! (Makes life much easier)

Frustratingly this oven stack was 30mm too narrow to fit a new oven! It also was structural and solid brick - so not easily moved. Within the day, a new frame was constructed, sheeted, cornice matched in and flushed ready for paint. New oven here we come! 😎

A simple skylight shaft and vent relocation. Depending on who installs your skylight, usually it's best to have an experienced plasterer do the shaft. Making a skylight work despite being skewed or uneven is always a challenge, but you'll certainly want an experienced tradesman when it comes to making it look it's best!
