We are excited to be exhibiting at The Hanging of the Quilts in Dongara!! Who will we see there???
Look at the colour on this one! π Meet Aether Quilt, made by our very own Leslie and quilted on her Handi Quilter Sweet Sixteen.
The way the colours travel from warm reds and oranges through sunny yellows and greens, then into deep teals, blues and purples is just stunning. Every one of those overlapping circles is a little jewel, and the quilting adds so much texture and movement across the whole quilt.
Congratulations, Leslie, this is absolutely stunning! π Thank you for sharing it with us.
Have you got a quilt on the go that you'd love to show off? Bring it in and let us see it!
Ready for a quick, satisfying sewing win before the festive rush kicks in? πβ¨ Join Jo for Midtown Tote class and walk away with this gorgeous bag made by your own two hands!
Make it your way β use a jelly roll and batting strips for a scrappy, colourful look, or go bold with one feature fabric and foam for something a little more polished. Either way, you'll love the structural stays included in the pattern that keep your tote standing tall and holding its shape.

We're thrilled to welcome Ruth de Vos to Handcrafters House for a one-day hand piecing workshop! Ruth is a Perth Hills-based textile artist whose art quilts have shown at major exhibitions like Quilt National in Athens, Ohio, and the International Quilt Festival in Houston β she's one of a handful of Australian quilters whose work has been selected for that stage. She came to textile art after training in science and engineering, and her nature-inspired pieces have won awards, including Best of Show at QuiltWest.
Spending a day learning directly from an exhibiting art quilter of this caliber is a rare opportunity β and this workshop brings it right back to basics: no machine, just needle, thread, and a small botanical design coming together by hand.
β¨ Beginner friendly
β¨ Kit available for $35 (paid to Ruth on the day)
β¨ Sat 17 Oct, 9:30amβ4pm
