A meeting of minds between Representatives, Scientists, Researchers, Dermatologists, and the wider L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty team members - discussing what is relevant and where we currently are in today's Dermatological space!

June is Scleroderma Awareness Month!

It is a chronic Autoimmune disorder that can present differently in each sufferer based on which organs are involved.

It affects over 6,000 Australians, over 300,000 Americans, with an estimated 2+ million people worldwide.

The core doctors involved will most likely be Dermatology and Rheumatology, but often it will require the input from a multi-disciplinary medical team including (but not limited to); Immunologists, Respiratory Physicians, Gastroenterologists, Cardiologists, Nephrologists, Dentists, and Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as Allied Health Specialists such as Physiotherapists, and Occupational Therapists.

Given we see so much sun damage here in Australia, it is important that clinicians have a good handle on what we can do to manage it (and thankfully there ARE options available that can help before the photoaging sets in, let alone after it has taken hold!).
