It was an honour to be introduced to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Anthony Albanese . As the son of Indian migrants who made Australia home, I could not help but reflect on the journey that brought my family here.
Australia has always been my country and my home, and it is an incredible privilege to represent Western Australians in the Commonwealth Parliament.
I am also proud of my Indian heritage and the values, culture and sense of community that have been passed down through generations.
The relationship between Australia and India has never been more important. It is built not just on strategic and economic ties, but on the millions of personal stories, families and friendships that connect our two nations.

The message from victim-survivors, advocates, academics, and law enforcement was clear: by speaking openly about child exploitation, we can break the silence, identify and challenge harmful behaviour, and help keep children safe.

One of the reasons I was attracted to the legal profession was the obligation on members of the profession to use their skills and knowledge to serve the community.
I believe we need to foster a society where every Australian has access to a high quality education and the opportunity to succeed, as well as the opportunity give back to the community.
