Client Spotlight Tayla Scianc | Independent Hairdresser | Joondalup WA . Tayla has had a few shoots before within Elsa The Business Mentor mentor academy, but now she needed images of her new premises (and new hair colour 😎).

Because Tayla has had shoots before she had a good idea of the types of shots she wanted and we were able to capture this whole shoot (including wash/ dry/trim) in 90 minutes. She does mentoring for other salon owners so we also wanted to capture that aspect of her work.

And now Tayla can update her website with new fresh images that are relevant for where she is now in her business, not two years ago.

By the time we get to shoot day, the real work is already done. We’ve had a strategy call. We’ve built your shot list. We’ve talked through props, wardrobe, and content ideas so we both know what we’re creating and why.

Shoot day comes around, you walk in having nailed your makeup and wardrobe 👌and we are ready to rock. And because we have already put in the hard work in the organising, we get to have fun on shoot day.

A comment I get all the time: “that was way more fun than I thought it would be.” So if the idea of a shoot makes you nervous — that’s exactly how most people feel walking in, and exactly how none of them feel walking out.

A few hours at rosecottage, grass between her toes, and Anita from had everything she needed to finish her website upgrade 🙌. This location is great for people who want to incorporate a bit of the outdoors into their images as they have an aesthetic yard/tree/grass area that photographs really well year round.

When Rachel took over a little over a year ago, she inherited something special - the first female-founded lingerie business in Perth that’s been part of the community for 60 years. They offer mastectomy prostheses and post-surgical bras to compression garments and swimwear.  

Rachel spent her first 12 months doing the work behind the scenes - upgrading the software, tightening the systems, getting the back end of the business running the way she wanted it.

Then came the fun. New ownership, new energy, and she needed images that reflected the transition of ownership and capture the images that matched her vision.

Rachel’s new images give her a whole bank to pull from as she rolls out her fresh marketing for the website, socials, in-store, wherever she needs them.

Katie had recently returned to Perth after living in Karratha and owning the clothing boutique .

Now based in Perth, we wanted too capture her in a way that would support her next evolution, grow her personal brand and give her the confidence to show up as the powerhouse women that she is 🙌.

Client spotlight Millie | Strength training & lifestyle coaching for women 40+

I have known Millie for a while - our kids went to school together, and I’ve photographed her family a few times over the years

So when she needed some images for her personal training business I jumped at the chance (pun intended).

This was my first time shooting in a gym like this, and I loved it. So many props to play with, some really great light, and of course great talent!

And you know the best part isn’t even the photos. It’s that Millie’s no longer stuck staring at her camera roll stressing over what photos (mostly selfies) to use where. She’s got a bank of images that actually show how she trains and works with clients — so she can just show up and share, instead of overthinking it.

It might sound like a small thing, but it’s the difference between posting and not 🤷‍♀️
