Yangmei season in Vietnam!
Stopped by a local market today and found piles of fresh Yangmei (Chinese Bayberries) for sale. Some of the fruit were HUGE and of excellent quality.

These are very sweet and refreshing, especially when eaten chilled on a hot day.

They're not particularly rare here, but it's still impressive seeing baskets full of freshly harvested fruit like this.

Advanced Sweet Tamarind plants

The Tamarind fruit tree is the most widely distributed and appreciated as an ornamental throughout the tropics.

The tamarind is a slow growing . It is highly wind resistant with strong graceful branches with rough fissured bark. The fruits look like beans and are borne in great abundance along the new branches.
