👀 Looking for an easy family day out near Perth?

We recently did the Dolphin, Sea Lion & Penguin Island Wildlife Cruise in Rockingham—and even without spotting dolphins, it was still such a great experience

🐬 No dolphins for us this time (they are wild after all!)

🦭 Sea lions were stretched out along the beach at Seal Island

🦅 We spotted a whistling kite eagles

🌿 The guides were AMAZING—so informative, sharing everything from osprey nests to seal colonies along the WA coast

🐧 Penguin Island was a highlight, with really interesting (and slightly wild!) history and conservation info

The boat is enclosed with indoor seating (seats around 70), so it’s a super comfortable option year-round—especially with kids. Plenty of fresh air if you get sea-sick

It was an easy, low-stress, suitable for all ages outings

💙 Perfect if you’re after something relaxed, educational and close to Perth.

It's been a bit of a heavy week in the PERTHfectly Us | Jacqui house

We sadly had to say a sudden goodbye to one of our little cats, Nova 💜

We adopted Nova and his brother, Coco, almost two years ago as tiny 8-week-old kittens. It didn't take long for them to settle into our home... and firmly convince us they were in charge

Nova was quirky, cheeky, mischievous, and always finding new ways to keep us on our toes. He brought us so much laughter and he's left a much bigger hole than a little cat should.

So today, Ruby, Big T and I escaped to the dog beach for a much-needed dose of Vitamin Sea 🐾

The highlight was spotting a Golden Ghost Crab just casually hanging out by the surf with absolutely zero cares for the dogs doing full-speed zooms all around it 🦀

It was one of those small, unexpected moments that made us stop and smile
