Does regional road safety matter?
The Eyre Hub team at Kimba, SA have spent much time and energy lobbying for government and industry support to build a decent truck stop nearest their town. Located Halfway across Australia", on the nation-critical A1 Eyre Highway, the community-based project has many supporters yet needs more public commitment to deliver. The Eyre Hub initiative is to provide purpose-built facilities for road train and truck driver rest, repair and changeover.
