Erongo Energy

Erongo Energy Limited (ASX code: ERN) is focussed on exploring the highly prospective Maniema Project, which covers 1,800km² and is located in east central Democratic Republic of Congo. Seven significant target areas have been identified from previous work, none of which have been previously drill tested. At Prospect 4804, mineralisation has been identified over more than 1km, with widths of more than 80m and is open to the north, south and at depth. Trench results include 52m at 4.61g/t Au and 80m at 3.72g/t Au. Diamond drilling commenced at PR 4804 in August 2011, and initial results are expected in late September. Erongo then aims to drill test Prospect 4801, which has been determined as extending over more than 4km and running parallel to a broad quartz vein.
