Also me: But what if a project requires a very specific paper that I don't own yet?

I literally went to the art shop for paper the other day. When I got there I decided I needed some new paints but I couldn't, for the life of me, remember what colours!! 😂

The Seagull Trio...

I'd had my work in for about six months and found myself asking:

"What combines Café Collective's beautiful coastal vibe with my love of painting Aussie animals full of personality?"

The answer was obvious.

Seagulls!

They're at the beach, going to picnics, lurking around fish and chips. They're supervising BBQs, and confidently helping themselves to food like they own it!

And they're absolutely packed with personality.

So the Seagull Trio was born.

It started with Stacey — rocking her "itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polkadot bikini" and living her best beach life.

Then came Sunny — sporting a broad-brimmed hat and that "I just grabbed a Bunnings snag" energy.

And completed the set with Spike — permanently on the lookout for an unattended chip and he's not even a bit sorry about it.

They're cheeky, confident, slightly annoying, and unmistakably Aussie. Just like the seagulls we all know and love... or love to complain about 😂

Sometimes, being an adult feels like saying "after this week, things will calm down," until you die. But things haven’t calmed down yet!! I do this to myself.

This is me, overcommitting again and pretending peace is just 7 days away 😂😅
I'm so glad I scheduled a retreat in!

Also, I made ketchup (American tomato sauce) today!

I've always been a fan of tomato sauce over ketchup, but my homemade ketchup is WAY better than sauce.

I so love this trend! But honestly, it’s a little too close to home! 😅

Me and maths were never really friends, to the point that it’s become a bit of a family joke. While everyone else memorised answers, I somehow turned every maths problem into a creative exercise.

Can’t be good at everything, right?

There’s something funny and a little Aussie about seagulls lurking around a box of hot chips like they own them!
