The students of today are our leaders of the future. The jobs they have, the careers they have and the decisions they make are going to shape Perth as one of the world’s most liveable cities. It’s critical we take on board their ideas and thoughts.

Last month we bought together members, All Saints' College students and alumni group, Old Saints, at the Year 12 Networking Breakfast. We were so impressed by the student’s willingness to engage, depth of questions and ambitions.

Perth’s future is in good hands! 👏🏽

Yesterday Committee for Perth members came together at QV1 for our inaugural Opposition’s Address with WA Opposition Leader Basil Zempilas MLA.

A strong theme throughout the morning was the important role a constructive Opposition can play in shaping good outcomes for WA: working with the Government where priorities align, while continuing to challenge, advocate and put forward alternative priorities. Thank you to QV1 for hosting us and their generous hospitality.

✈️ Ready for take-off!

On Friday, Committee for Perth members stepped behind the scenes at Perth Airport to explore the past, present and future of one of Western Australia’s most important pieces of infrastructure.

From its beginnings at Maylands Aerodrome to a world-class gateway welcoming more than 18 million passengers each year, Perth Airport’s story is one of capacity, constraint and expansion. With major investments underway and an airport precinct expected to contribute around $17 billion to the WA economy by 2046, the future is certainly taking shape.

A huge thank you to the Perth Airport team for an incredible experience and airside tour.

This morning, Edith Cowan University (ECU) Vice-Chancellor and Committee for Perth Board Member, Professor Clare Po***ck, opened the doors to ECU’s state-of-the-art City Campus. Although a full tour of the award-winning, high-tech vertical campus takes around five hours, Committee for Perth board members and team enjoyed a guided snapshot of this remarkable new addition to Perth’s C*D.

Everyone has a Royal Flying Doctor Service WA story, because it is an organisation that has touched the lives – and hearts – of many Western Australians over almost a century.
 
This morning, our members braved the cold to hear firsthand about the extraordinary and iconic work Royal Flying Doctor Service (WA) does to support communities across Western Australia.

Committee for Perth’s Member Spotlight Experiences provide members with exclusive, private access to the back of house workings of member organisations – as an opportunity to hear inspiration and insights from local business leaders, who can showcase the significance of their work to the greater Perth ecosystem.

After four months as Interim CEO, we’re pleased to announce Tania Hudson as Chief Executive Officer of Committee for Perth for a five-year term. During her time in the interim role, Tania demonstrated thoughtful leadership and a deep commitment to independent ideas to shape Perth's future.

That was the question guiding conversation at our second annual Gold Leaders Dinner, held at the extraordinary .

Executive leaders from our Gold Member and Board cohort came together to reflect on the opportunities and challenges shaping Perth’s future — from education and energy literacy, to media trust, Asian trading partnerships, Perth Airport’s $5+ billion expansion, and the role Committee for Perth plays as a trusted convener of these critical conversations.

The insights were generous, the discussion thoughtful, and the setting truly golden.

In a world where time is an increasingly precious resource, even more so than gold, we are deeply grateful to those who chose to spend an evening sharing their ideas, experience and ambition for Perth’s future.
