MENOPAUSE AND RELATIONSHIPS: NAVIGATING CHANGE WITH HYPNOTHERAPY AND ENERGY MEDICINE
Menopause can strain or even break relationships of all kinds, not only marriages. Targeted approaches such as hypnotherapy and energy medicine can ease symptoms, restore bioenergetic flow, support the endocrine system, reduce stress and cortisol, and help create new neurological patterns of thinking.
Before you read on, consider these quick decisions: do you want symptom relief, emotional regulation or improved intimacy? Are you open to exploring how to combine medical advice with complementary therapies?
Menopause reshapes daily life with disrupted sleep, hot flushes, low libido and cognitive fog, and it can bring personality changes. Many women report not recognising themselves and experiencing severe depression alongside an identity crisis. They notice increased irritability, deep bitterness and resentment, which can leave partners feeling rejected or confused.
Practical, honest conversations about changing needs are essential, but they don’t always resolve the emotional fallout or address solutions that can make a difference. There may be areas to explore that are unique to each woman and to how she will move through her own menopause journey. That’s where Hypnotherapy and Energy Medicine can play a supportive role.
Hypnotherapy offers a gentle, evidence informed approach using guided relaxation and imagery to regulate the nervous system and help with issues such as brain fog, hot flushes and poor sleep. It can also provide an exploratory process for deeper personal issues that may arise during this time because of unresolved past wounds.
Energy Medicine can assist by addressing subtle energetic imbalances that often accompany hormonal change. By supporting the circulation of chi or life energy, and by complementing the work of Hypnotherapy, energy practices can reduce anxiety and release energetic blocks that may be disrupting biofield flow. This can help a person feel more embodied throughout the process.
If menopause has created distance in your relationships, it can be a confusing and lonely time. The process can feel shocking and isolating, with many things occurring at once, alongside the sense of an ending that has been part of you for many years. Menopause is an inevitable experience that most women go through, and specialised care to help you navigate it is available

THE WEIGHT OF RESENTMENT: HOW BITTERNESS SHAPES BODY, HEART, AND LIFE.
Resentment and bitterness begin as small, private injuries that are never fully released. An incident, a broken promise, or a pattern of being overlooked can lodge in the mind and body. Rather than passing through as a momentary feeling, the hurt is replayed and rehearsed until it becomes a persistent stance: a mental loop that re‑experiences the original wound and interprets new events through that old pain. This reproduces what is known as 'thoughtforms' that are released into your own biofield of energy and are then incorporated as part of what you omit in your frequency and vibration.
Resentment usually takes root when someone feels powerless to change an unfair situation or unable to express their hurt safely. When the swinging of the mind takes place, from positioning themselves as the victim to the other perpetrator and then themselves as the perpetrator to the victim, whether through internal mental battles or imagined scenarios, or the rise of emotions such as anger, sadness, disappointment and even injustice, the ability to counterbalance all of this within their own temperance system becomes hijacked.
The mind then builds a narrative to justify the reasons why the other person is to blame, why justice was denied, or why it’s necessary to stay guarded. It's then the habitual repetition, rumination, and social reinforcement of the grievance that becomes anchored into the psyche, converting the feeling into bitterness, which narrows perception, limits new ways of seeing things and makes letting go increasingly difficult.
The toll of carrying resentment shows up in the body as well as the psyche. Living with the ongoing weight of it keeps the stress response activated, which disrupts sleep, raises blood pressure, weakens immune function, and increases inflammation. Over time these physiological effects can contribute to chronic health problems and a general sense of being worn down. Energy that could be used for creativity, rest, or connection is instead consumed by vigilance and replaying past hurts. Even the personality can change, which then impacts relationships. A person who carries resentment often becomes more guarded, suspicious, and quick to react. Intimacy suffers because openness is replaced with protection and apologies may be met with mistrust, and minor offences are magnified. Social circles can shrink as others grow weary of the persistent negativity, and opportunities for connection and joy diminish because the resentful stance repels and rejects the warmth and repair that's needed.
THE HEART CENTRE AND COHERENCE
From a metaphysical or energetic perspective, resentment restricts the heart centre. The heart responds to betrayal and hurt by contracting and shielding to avoid further pain. That contraction reduces the flow of empathy and the capacity to give or receive love, making it harder to extend compassion or to accept kindness. This can also be seen in the physical body through the change in posture and other autonomic sensory responses, reflecting the shutting down and shielding of the heart, making forgiveness difficult to do alone. Healing the heart’s contraction and pain shield requires work that addresses the core of the experience by having a safe space for expression, repairing and completion conversations. Forgiveness, when it happens, is less about excusing harm and more about freeing oneself from the ongoing cost of carrying it.
Hypnotherapy can be a powerful healing resource that, when a particular type of therapy is applied specifically related to core experience, it can break down the repetitive thought processes that kept someone in this locked state. The painful memories are able to be seen from a new view and counterbalanced with greater meaning, empathy and compassion for past events. To support this approach, energy medicine can also assist with the somatic releasing of the memory from the body and enhancing the radiance of the heart centre. This process of both brings about the term I use called BioEnergetic Flow, which assists with embodiment of a new energy flow and a calmer neurological response for the heart to open and flow again.

WHAT IS TEMPORARY PSYCHOSIS
Temporary psychosis is an imbalanced processing of reality and a disturbance in perception that lasts for a limited period. It can include hallucinations, delusions, disorganised thinking and marked changes in behaviour. It differs from chronic psychotic disorders by its onset, duration and often identifiable trigger, and many people recover fully once the precipitating cause is addressed.
The Common Triggers On How Temporary Psychosis Is Created
🔸Substance‑induced psychosis is a frequent cause, where recreational drugs, certain prescription medications or withdrawal from substances provoke psychotic symptoms.
🔸Stimulants, high‑potency cannabis, hallucinogens and some prescription drugs are commonly implicated, and the psychosis may begin during intoxication or emerge in the days after use.
🔸Extreme stress, acute trauma or a severe emotional crisis can precipitate a brief psychotic episode. In these cases the overload of threat and arousal can temporarily overwhelm cognitive and regulatory systems, producing dissociation, perceptual disturbances and transient delusional thinking.
🔸Medical, hormonal and neurological conditions, chronic disease or illness — including infections or parasites, metabolic disturbances, head injury and some neurological disorders — can create a reversible psychotic state by disrupting brain chemistry or structure.
🔸Extreme, deliberate or subconscious alienation and manipulation by caregivers or family members who are unable or unwilling to negotiate emotional load can compound over time and contribute to a psychotic break.
🔸Severe sleep deprivation and prolonged sleep disruption are additional, well‑documented triggers that can precipitate hallucinations and disordered thinking in vulnerable people.
🔸Medication side effects or interactions may also produce acute psychotic symptoms by altering neurotransmitter systems, so a careful review of recent prescriptions and substances is essential in assessment.
🔸Temporary psychosis can also arise after a highly spiritual or transcendent experience when the emotional and mental bodies find the experience difficult to integrate. Intense spiritual states can overwhelm existing meaning‑making frameworks and produce perceptual or cognitive shifts that appear psychotic until they are processed and grounded.
Who Is Vulnerable
Temporary psychosis can occur in people with no prior psychiatric history, yet risk is higher where there is ancestral patterning. Risk also depends on many other factors such as psychosocial stressors, heavy or frequent substance use, untreated severe psychological stress or trauma, underlying medical conditions and severe hormonal imbalances that affect the individual’s ability to equalise their internal state. Vulnerability increases when a person lacks social support or has limited resources to make sense of the intensity of warning signals or the onset of this state.
Case example: a person who experienced a series of intense catalyst events while being alienated by immediate family members, where a family member misinterpreted events and refused to reconsider, can be left with ongoing unresolved conflict. Repeated attempts to explain are met with resistance, producing overwhelming confusion that undermines emotional regulation.
Typical Presentation
Every experience is unique and can range from mild to severe. Some people experience hallucinations, paranoia or delusions related to current fears or stressors. Thinking can become fragmented and imbalanced without higher‑order influence to counterbalance it, and behaviour may appear bizarre or withdrawn. Prevention is difficult to advise because many episodes arise from unknown or complex causes.
With the right care and approach, an individual can be supported to achieve synthesis of thought and emotional field and become more regulated, which then aids removal of the sensitising triggers via appropriate care. By working with the etheric body and the subtle energy layers that make up the individual’s biofield, it is possible to begin organising and repairing the energetic constitution, which assists with evening out energy circulation. This is where energy medicine can be helpful by supporting somatic release and grounding of the body.

BURNOUT AND THE PATH BACK: HOW HYPNOTHERAPY AND ENERGY MEDICINE CREATE BIOENERGETIC FLOW
When the electrical and biological systems of the body have been impacted, it can feel as though there is no space in your personal biofield for any new information and that there is no healthy place to share your experience for fear of being judged. That sense of crowding and shut‑down is one of the clearest signs that your system has been pushed beyond its capacity to adapt. The effects of extreme burnout can be debilitating across mental, emotional, physical and spiritual energy bodies, and they usually require ongoing, compassionate support to regain stabilisation, consolidation and resolve.
Burnout often arrives like a sudden crash into an invisible wall, but it rarely begins there. It accumulates. Emotional confusion over time, a catalyst experience, grief, loss or trauma, ongoing conflict, a series of compounding issues, financial shock, drastic change, a lack of reward or meaning, and neglect of self‑care all erode the nervous system’s ability to regulate. Each of these pressures shifts the balance of your electrical and biochemical systems so that your capacity to notice, respond and recover becomes smaller. You stop having the bandwidth to process new information, you become more reactive and tend to express irrational anger, as well as not feeling safe in relationships, and to hold your own personal self and any experiences without shame.
From your perspective, this feels like losing yourself. Tasks that once felt manageable become heavy. Sleep fragments, concentration feels scattered and the body begins to speak in pain, fatigue or disconnection. The inner critic grows louder because the parts of you that once protected and organised are exhausted. That is why simply resting for a weekend rarely resolves deep burnout, due to the body and the biofield needing a different kind of attention that addresses the electrical patterns, the learned protective responses and the energetic constrictions that keep you stuck.
Hypnotherapy, when combined with alternating treatments of energy medicine, offers a pathway back that works with both the nervous system and the subtle energetic architecture of the person. Hypnotherapy creates a state of focused attention and relaxed receptivity where the inner observer can become clearer and less reactive. In that state you can access the habitual patterns that have been running you, soften the parts that are stuck in protection, and rehearse new responses in a way that the nervous system can learn. Energy medicine complements this by addressing the flow of chi and organisation of your biofield, and restoring a sense of spaciousness where new information can be received.
Together these approaches create what I call BioEnergetic Flow. BioEnergetic Flow is the process by which electrical regulation, emotional integration and energetic coherence are re‑established so that your system can hold more, respond more flexibly and re‑engage with life from a place of safety. It is not a single technique but a sequence of interventional shifts over a period of time, with support in between sessions to sustain your progress.
The work is about creating a safe container where your electrical and biological systems can re‑learn how to recalibrate again in a new way.

🚻INNER ALCHEMY: RECLAIM YOUR MASCULINE AND FEMININE HARMONY
A common symptom in today’s society is the imbalance of the masculine and the feminine energies within an individual.
Most people are not aware that just by balancing these energies, one can create a shift in one’s own personality and how they interact within themselves and with the opposite or same s*x, regardless of what your s*xual preferences are. It’s important to understand that irrespective of a person's s*xual orientation or gender, they will have problems with either of the energies if they are not balanced within oneself first. A person will come to the point where, if they are to experience connection with another or have healthy relationships, this must be addressed. Many will not even be aware that this imbalance is occurring.
⚖️All of us contain a combination of the two energies; The masculine: represents clarity, direction, structure, boundaries. The feminine: intuition, receptivity, creativity, relational depth. However, if you can imagine a scale where one side is the masculine and the other feminine, one can imbalance and overshadow the other.
🚺For many women, an overactive masculine often shows up as over‑functioning, constant doing, and difficulty receiving support.
🚹For many men, an underdeveloped feminine can manifest as difficulty being vulnerable, expressing emotion, or allowing themselves to feel deeply.
Many people don’t realise that simply bringing these energies back into harmony can create profound shifts in personality, emotional stability, and relationship dynamics. When the inner masculine and feminine are out of balance, it shows up in how we communicate, how we take action, and how we connect with others and it is often operating beneath conscious awareness, therefore people may struggle without understanding the root cause. Among behavioural and interpersonal issues, in extreme circumstances it can begin to create psychosomatic disorders or health issues.
By addressing what is creating the imbalance and then harmonising the two forces within, this is called alchemy, which is the conscious integration of two complementary forces. By doing so, the intention is that you can move fluidly between doing and being, leading and listening, deciding and receiving. When these energies work together rather than compete, your choices feel more aligned, your relationships become healthier, and your presence becomes grounded and authentic. You gain the ability to act with purpose without shutting down your emotional world, and to stay open and intuitive without losing direction. Stress becomes easier to navigate. Creativity flows with structure rather than chaos. Productivity stops being a grind and becomes a rhythm where discipline supports inspiration, and inspiration fuels follow‑through.
⚛️How Energy Medicine Supports This Balance🚻
Energy medicine offers a powerful pathway for restoring harmony between the masculine and feminine within by working directly with the body’s energy systems and bypassing the linear mind. This can create shifts that talk therapy or mindset work alone may not reach. As these two forces establish a new form of relating to each other energetically, people often notice changes in how they communicate, how they handle conflict, and how they show up in relationships. They feel more whole, more centred, and less unstable within themselves.

HOW TO KNOW WHEN YOU AREN'T WILLING TO LOOK AT YOURSELF
Refusing to examine your own behaviours, thoughts and beliefs is part of the human condition. It often appears as a deflective default reflex to avoid blame, making every problem about the other person. This piece is here to help you recognise that pattern, explain why it matters and offer practical steps towards honest self-reflection without shame, or referring to the process of doing so as, “bullsh*t or rubbish'.
We are designed to shield ourselves from perceived and potential threats, so avoiding personal reflection becomes a way of protecting the fragility of one’s self image and life narrative by redirecting focus outward instead of asking what you contributed to a situation. Over time this becomes an automatic autonomic nervous system response. Each time you receive feedback you may perceive it as an attack, which becomes a reason to be unwilling to participate in resolving the roots of recurring conflicts. You dismiss them with rash explanations rather than asking why you said or did what you did, and you keep the focus on how others handled, expressed or behaved. This keeps others always being the 'wrongous' and lets you remain in the 'righteous.'
