Isara Elephant Foundation

We are calling on our community again 🖤

An elderly stray mama cat was trapped for sterilisation, but surgery was delayed due to severe anaemia. She has since tested FIV+ and given birth to three kittens in hospital. 💔

Costs have blown out and they need your help 🫶
Just a small contribution is life-changing for these guys, a chance at a healthy future.

✨We have a new $500 Christmas MATCH from a private donor ✨ Please help up raise the remaining funds needed! ❤️

The girls have been living in elephant bliss since beginning their retirement, and we don’t want this move to feel like a downgrade for them. They deserve the very best, and we need to make sure this next chapter is just as perfect 🐘🐘🌱

Please consider giving this festive season to our fundraiser — the next $500 will be matched so your impact will mean twice as much! 🎄

✨We’re now 60% of the way to raising the funds needed to build the girls’ night space ✨

We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who has helped so far — it truly means the world 🌍

Every little bit counts. It’s so important we get this finished for the girls, they have been living a wonderful life since beginning retirement, and we must make sure this new chapter is even better for them 🐘🌱

Please share far and wide ❤️

💛 The girls need your help! We & @theelephantinitiative are raising funds to build a nighttime space for the girls. They’ve reached 60% of their target but still need more support — we have put their links in our bio where you can donate directly to them 🤍 Unfortunately, the elephants have lost access to the extensive forest where they were previously able to stay out all night, and being out there was no longer the safest option for nanny elephant Chu. A night space is now essential, where the girls can remain safe and unrestrained through the night. Without it, this would be a significant downgrade for the girls — and that’s not something we want for them. 🇦🇺 https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/enclosure4chu 🇺🇸 https://donorbox.org/isaraenclosure #give #elephantsofinstagram #elephantsanctuary #observationonly #retiredelephants

✨We’re asking everyone to come together again, for the eles✨

It has been a tough year for the sanctuary in Thailand, resulting in a costly relocation!

Help us to build a safe night enclosure for the girls at the new land!

Our friends at The Elephant Initiative have generously offered us an incredible $1000 match! So our first 1k in donations will be doubled!

Your support will help us make this next chapter even better for the girls, let’s do this! 💛🐘🐘

🌱 The Magic of Elephant P**p: Nature’s Super Fertilizer 🐘

Elephants are the planet’s greatest gardeners.
Their p**p isn’t waste, it’s life.

Elephants play an incredibly important role in maintaining forest health. As they roam through the landscape, they open up dense areas, allowing sunlight to reach the forest floor and encouraging new growth — creating habitat variety and enriching overall biodiversity.

They’re also crucial for seed dispersal. Elephants consume vast amounts of fruits, seeds, and vegetation, and many of those seeds pass through their digestive system unharmed. When released in their dung, full of nutrients and moisture, they’re given the perfect start to grow.

Elephants are a keystone species, their presence holds the balance of the ecosystem in place.

💩🌱 Can you guess what our clever Nannie elephant ‘Chu’ has grown here?
