Latest Perth rental figures from REIWA. Very interesting watch to see how this trend plays out. Rental properties available are dropping which is not a good sign in a city already under pressure from lack of rental stock.
At the same time properties rented on a weekly basis is also dropping. Is this due to less rental demand (i.e. renters buying property or moving in with family) or is this simply a result of lower rental availability leading to a lower amount of properties rented.
I can’t be sure what this data means but it makes for an interesting watch over the coming weeks. One thing I do expect is if the rental availability figures continue to drop we are in for a rough ride with rental prices. What are your thoughts?
