It was hard not to fall in love with the work of Italian sculptor and ceramicist Giuseppe Ducrot who created the distinctive Baroque ceramic façades, sconces, and architectural details Vermelho Melides Melides.

Getting lost in new places is one of my favourite experience as it makes me think about all the possibilities life has to offer.

To know that every day opens a new door to pivot, think differently, change direction or just be.

To think about what came before me and what will be after I am gone is a reminder for me to be present, to understand my existence and give me perspective on what really matters to me and how I need to authentically live and feel each moment.

So happy and excited to share my talented husband and partner in madness Stormie Mills was invited to be a Guest of Honour artist for the 16th edition and landmark 30th anniversary Florence Biennale 23 to 31 October 2027.

He first collaborated with the Biennale and City in Florence in 2018 and since then we have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the supportive team.

It was so exciting for him to receive this invitation, as always I am so proud of him and look forward to supporting him on this new adventure.

There is nothing I love more than wandering the streets with my amore Stormie Mills and stumbling across unexpected beauty.

This wonderful library sat unassumingly in a street in the quiet town of Melides, Portugal waiting to be discovered. Each book lovingly crafted from a different stone, crafted with titles on their covers and spines.

The stools are representative of the traditional wooden village benches.

Titled “A Cultura saiu à rua num dia assim” - “Culture hit the streets on a day like this” it was created by the Portuguese sculptor Isaque Pinheiro who likened the work like walking around in your pyjamas on the streets.

I like the idea of that.

One of the many things I love about living in Venice is the constantly evolving events.

I think I loved the uniforms they created for Homo Faber just about as much as wandering through the show.

San Giorgio is one of my favourite islands to visit, a quick boat ride from San Marco, it offers a peaceful reprieve where you can always discover something magical.

Always fun to check out the annual Regata Storica.

It commemorates the maritime past of the Venetian Republic, specifically honoring the 1489 return of Caterina Cornaro, the former Queen of Cyprus.

The traditional rowing races which are part of the event date back to the 13th century, the modern pageantry and title of Regata Storica were officially established in 1899 by Mayor Filippo Grimani.

Definitely worth checking out.

Light is such a beautiful aspect of nature, the way it can transform space and allow you to see the same thing through new eyes.
