Is there a step at the door? https://accesstours.ai/viewer?key=motor-museum-of-western-australia

Most venues can't answer that until you've already driven there.

The Motor Museum of Western Australia just made it answerable before anyone leaves the house. Museum entrance marked, door width labelled at 86cm, full navigation controls including captions, voiceover and keyboard access, all inside the tour, not buried in a PDF.

That's the difference between a standard tour and an Access Tour. One shows you the building. The other tells you if you can actually get in.

One in five Australians lives with disability. They don't gamble on a listing. They check, then they book.

โ€ข Is there a step at the front door?
โ€ข Where's the accessible parking, and how far is it from the entrance?
โ€ข Is the toilet roll-in, or just a grab rail?
โ€ข Where are the exits if something goes wrong?

Most venues answer these on the day. We just answered them before anyone left the house. โ™ฟ๏ธ

The new Access Tours experience for the Motor Museum of Western Australia now shows:
โ€ข Emergency information and points of interest, marked in place
โ€ข Door and path widths, so you know before you roll up
โ€ข Accessible parking, marked and measured
โ€ข Accessible toilets and exits
โ€ข A full contrast and display control panel, built the same way a screen reader or accessible browser works

Take the quiz - One in five customers is deciding right now whether your venue is worth the risk. https://quiz.accesstours.com.au/venuequiz

Not your competitor's price. Not your reviews. The risk of showing up and finding out your venue doesn't work for them.

One in five Australians lives with disability. That's not a niche audience. That's a fifth of everyone who's ever looked at your website and hesitated.

Here's what they're weighing before they ever pick up the phone.

โ€ข Is there a step at the front door?
โ€ข Where's the accessible parking, and is it actually close, or across the car park?
โ€ข Is the bathroom roll-in, or just a grab rail by a standard toilet?
โ€ข Is there a lift, and is it working today?

Your website doesn't answer any of it. So they do the maths themselves. Best case, it's fine and they've wasted a trip finding out. Worst case, there's a step nobody mentioned, and now they're standing at your entrance, working out how to leave without making a scene.

That's not inclusion. That's anxiety dressed up as a visit.

ใ…ค
Most venues think this is a compliance problem. It's not. It's a booking problem.

When someone can see the step-free route, the parking, the toilet, before they call, they stop gambling on your listing. They stop guessing. They book.

That's what we build at Access Tours. Not a PDF that summarises your accessibility. A real 360-degree walkthrough of your venue, mapped for the questions people are actually asking.

Museums attract exactly the visitors most venues forget to plan for. Older visitors. Wheelchair users. People with prams. Visitors with low vision.

And most of them won't risk a visit they can't picture in advance.

Is there a step? Is the toilet actually roll-in? Are the doors wide enough? Where's the nearest seat? Where's the exit?

Most venues answer none of it. So visitors don't book, or someone calls ahead and hopes for the best.

The Motor Museum of Western Australia isn't waiting to find out the hard way.

Coming soon: an accessible virtual tour with door widths, toilets, seating, feature points and emergency exits mapped directly into the walkthrough, so visitors can see it before they arrive.

That's the difference between hoping a venue works for you, and knowing it does.

Most museums preserve history better than they explain โ™ฟ๏ธ access. The Motor Museum of Western Australia is changing that! https://accesstours.ai/

This image is from their upcoming accessible virtual tour.

Before visitors arrive, they will be able to move through the museum online and see the details that actually matter:

โ€ข Where the accessible toilet is.
โ€ข How clear the internal paths are.
โ€ข What the floor surface looks like.
โ€ข Where the exits are.
โ€ข How the exhibition space is laid out.

That matters because access is not just about having the facility.

It is about giving people the certainty to use it.

A vague line or document on a website does not answer the real questions.

โ€œAccessible facilities availableโ€ does not tell someone whether the route works.

A hidden PDF does not show the space.

An Access Tours virtual tour does.

The Motor Museum of Western Australia is putting that information directly inside the visitor experience. ๐ŸŽ‰

Visible. ๐Ÿ‘€

Practical. โœ…

Your โ™ฟ๏ธ accessible toilet does not help anyone if they have to hunt through a ten-page PDF to find it.
One in five Australians lives with disability. https://accesstours.ai/

When they visit your website, they are not looking for a hidden document, a vague accessibility statement, or a note that says โ€œcall receptionโ€.

โ€ข They are trying to answer very specific questions before they arrive.
โ€ข Is there an accessible toilet?
โ€ข Are there grab rails?
โ€ข Is there enough space beside the pan?
โ€ข Is there an emergency call button?
โ€ข Can I actually use this space safely?

This image is from the Shire of Dandaragan โ€” Conference and Education Centre accessible virtual tour.

Inside the tour, visitors can see the restroom for themselves, with access features clearly identified:

Grab rails beside the toilet.
A red assistance button on the wall.
Clear floor space.
A practical view of what is actually there.

That is true know before you go.

NOT...
A PDF buried three clicks deep.
A compliance line on a website.

A real walkthrough of the venue, with access information placed where people need it.

Inside the experience.

If your venue has already invested in accessible facilities, show them properly.

One small Google button could make a real difference to how people find us!

Weโ€™ve just added Googleโ€™s new Preferred Source button to the https://accesstours.ai/ website.

If you visit our site, you may now see the option to add AccessTours.ai as a preferred source on Google.

Why does that matter?

Because Google says when someone selects a site as a preferred source, that siteโ€™s content is more likely to appear in Top Stories with a preferred badge. It can also be highlighted in AI Mode and AI Overviews for users who have selected it.

That is not just classic SEO anymore....that is GEO.

Generative Engine Optimisation.

The new question is not just:

โ€œCan Google crawl your website?โ€

It is:

โ€œDoes Google know that real people trust your website enough to choose it?โ€

For accessibility, that matters.

One in five Australians lives with disability.

They are searching for clear answers before they visit:

Is there accessible parking?

Where is the step-free entrance?

Is the toilet actually usable?

Can I see the venue before I leave home?

If Googleโ€™s AI results are going to answer those questions, we want accurate, practical accessibility information to come from people doing the work on the ground.

So if you support better access information, visit AccessTours.ai and click the Preferred Source button.

It helps tell Google that accessibility detail should be easier to find.

Let them know before they go.

Source: Google Search Centralโ€™s guide to Preferred Sources explains that selected sites are more likely to appear in Top Stories and may be highlighted in AI Mode and AI Overviews for users who choose them.

I met a Paralympian at a tourism summit...And what he said to me changed everything! https://accesstours.ai/

I was at the World Indigenous Tourism Summit in Perth, Western Australia doing the official photography. This guy rolls up, introduces himself. We exchange details, have a chat, he moves on. Nothing unusual. Just another conversation at a summit. A few minutes later, I find out he's one of the guest speakers at the event. Talking about accessibility. His name's Nick Morris. Paralympian. O.A.M. One of the biggest names in universal access in this country.

And suddenly, that conversation we'd just had... meant a whole lot more.

Because he'd said to me, "These virtual tours are really important to me. I want to know where the ramps are, the bathrooms, how to get around. And how the seamless accessibility opportunity hasn't been taken for over 30% of the community, who need it at some point in their life. Such as young families or ageing adults. " That's what stuck with me. Because it's not really about the ramp. It's about a person arriving somewhere and not knowing, in front of everyone, whether they're about to be stuck. Such as young families or ageing adults.

At that point, I'd already photographed hundreds of virtual tours across Australia. Beautiful virtual tours. Nice walkthroughs. That one sentence told me the whole industry, including my own work, had been solving the wrong problem.

So two years ago, I changed what I built. Not another pretty tour. But virtual tours that answer that problem, before anyone even arrives. Accessible Virtual Tours! - That's Access Tours. We map the ramps, the bath rooms, how to get around, all into the tour itself, viewpoint by viewpoint.

Let them know, before they go.
