Hi everyone, it's Molly here.

It’s with a very heavy heart that I share with you today that I will be resigning from my positions at WA Ethical Collective. As of early February, I will be stepping away and hopefully handing over my roles to other members of our organisation, or those who would like to be a part of it.

I'm so honoured to have been a part of WA Ethical Collective since our beginnings in June 2019 and throughout 2021 as we established our roots as a charity.

It has been a pleasure to connect with each of you. I hope to continue seeing you out there or online, creating your art and making change. Thank you, truly, for your inspiration and encouragement over the years.

On that note, we have some board positions now open.

👉 If you’re interested in joining WA Ethical Collective in a volunteer leadership role on our board, we are now taking applications for the following positions, each commencing on the 7th February 2022:

- Chairperson
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- General Committee Member
- General Board Members

A major part of maintaining a more sustainable wardrobe is doing regular wardrobe review - but not in the traditional sense which means getting rid of your old clothes just to make room for new ones. Swipe to see a rough idea on what to look out for!

It’s about analysing the make-up and origins of your pieces and your buying habits. This is a process and requires a commitment as big as the size of your wardrobe, so be prepared if yours is overflowing.

Reasons to shop with ethical brands this Christmas! 🎄

Shopping ethically can be tough at the best times, never mind with the pressure and rush around this holiday season. For a little motivation, here’s our reasons why we go to ethical/sustainable businesses to do our Christmas shopping. 🎁

P.S. Our clothing swap at markets is tomorrow, and its not too late to get tickets (link in our bio)! It’ll be a good chance to maybe grab an ethical gift for a loved one. 💛

Sustainability in fashion is about wearing and rewearing your clothes for as long as possible, and making them last ♻️

Some tips to get started with mending at home:
✨ Buy yourself a small mending kit and keep it accessible
✨ Watch youtube videos for mending inspo
✨ Find mending inspiration on social media (like !)
✨ Create a mending pile or box in your home so when you find the time to mend, you know where to start
✨ Set a morning or afternoon every month to mend
