Our tertiary students traded study sessions for mini golf and pizza, catching up at Holey Moley Cannington!
 
The afternoon was a chance to step away from assignments and exams, spend time with friends and meet other students navigating similar experiences.
 
With plenty of laughs and a little friendly competition along the way, it was fantastic to see everyone come together.
 
We look forward to seeing our tertiary’s at the next event! 🧡

Throughout the evening, our students generously volunteered their time to assist with the raffle, merchandise and Mystery Prize Wall, helping to create a memorable experience for our guests.
 
Their enthusiasm, professionalism and willingness to get involved played an important role in the success of the event, and we are grateful for everything they contributed on the night.

The artwork featured across our 2026 Madalah Ball merchandise tells a powerful story, brought to life by Bennell from Scotch College. ✨

At the 2026 Madalah Ball, Bennell shared the story behind his artwork with guests, offering a personal insight into the meaning, inspiration and cultural significance woven throughout the design.

“Across the boodja, Woordawoort Keiny dances lightly through the air, guiding the eye towards places where fresh water rests. The waterhole symbols represent places of life, connection and gathering, while the reeds reflect the lakes and ponds that sustain plants, animals and people. The navy blue and pink dots trace the dragonfly’s bidi (path) as it moves between water sources, capturing the energy and movement of Woordawoort Keiny.”

The 2026 Madalah Ball wouldn’t have been the same without our incredible MCs, Leo Stanley and Daithi Wade.
 
As former Madalah secondary students, current tertiary scholars, proud leaders from Broome, and lifelong friends who have shared this journey together since kindergarten, Leo and Daithi brought something truly special to the stage.
 
From the moment they walked out, they had the room hooked. Their humour, confidence and genuine friendship shone through all night, making everyone feel relaxed, engaged and part of the celebration.
 
They had us laughing with stories about growing up together, boarding school life, “controversial boarding house antics”, and even a Year 6 student council election that Leo is clearly still not over. 😂
 
But what made them such incredible MCs wasn’t just the laughs. It was the fact that they are living proof of what Madalah is all about.
 
Both Leo and Daithi spoke about leaving home at a young age to pursue educational opportunities, the challenges that came with that, and the opportunities that followed. Hearing them share their journeys while standing in front of a room full of supporters, students, partners and alumni was a powerful reminder of why nights like this matter.
 
Leo and Daithi, thank you for bringing your energy, personality and passion to the 2026 Madalah Ball. Thank you for sharing your stories, making us laugh and reminding everyone in the room why investing in young people and education matters.
 
You did an incredible job, and we couldn’t have asked for a better duo to guide us through the evening. 💙👏
