The hard part of enterprise AI is shifting from building an impressive demonstration to operating an agent safely over time.

Amazon Web Services has introduced persistent runtime instances for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, with sessions that can continue for up to 14 days. It has also added real-time vector search to DynamoDB, supporting memory and retrieval for AI workflows. Both capabilities are available to Australian organisations, including through the Sydney region where applicable.

This removes some of the infrastructure work, but it does not remove the operating decisions.

Before moving an agent into a live workflow, organisations still need clear answers on:
• what business outcome it owns
• what data and systems it can access
• how identity and permissions are controlled
• how activity, cost and performance are monitored
• when a person must step in

Production readiness is an operating model, not simply a technical milestone.

AI bill shock as business burns $500k in a month 15/09/2026

Diversus has been featured in The West Australian, sharing our perspective on the real cost of AI and why greater use doesn’t always mean greater productivity.

Claude De Lucia and Dien Tang discuss the importance of starting with the business problem, measuring whether AI is delivering genuine value and keeping people at the centre of technology decisions.

The article also reflects on 20 years of Diversus, our plans for national growth and why communication, problem-solving and relationship-building will matter even more in an AI-enabled workplace.

We’re pleased to announce that Diversus has partnered with Varonis to help organisations better understand, govern and protect their sensitive data.

As organisations adopt more cloud and AI tools, protecting sensitive data is becoming more complex. Before introducing technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude, organisations need to know what information they hold, where it lives and who can access it.

That’s where our partnership with Varonis can help.

By combining the Varonis data security platform with our experience across Microsoft, cloud, cybersecurity and AI governance, we can help clients:

🗃️ Find and classify sensitive data
💻 Identify unnecessary access and data exposure
🪪 Strengthen security across Microsoft 365, file systems, Azure, AWS and other SaaS platforms.
🔏 Improve privacy and compliance
👨‍💻 Build a safer foundation for AI adoption

We’ll support clients from the initial assessment through to implementation, ongoing monitoring and optimisation.

It’s a practical addition to how we help organisations modernise while keeping their data secure.

Last week, members of our team joined Western Rock Lobster for its Digital Ecosystem Roadshow in Hillarys and Geraldton.

The sessions gave fishers a closer look at how Member Central brings tools such as FishOps, Wharf Talk, weather and trip planning, safety resources, industry analytics and Back of Boat services together through one secure login.

It was valuable to see the ecosystem in action and speak directly with the people who will use it in their day-to-day work.

Thank you to Western Rock Lobster for bringing the industry together, and to Veris, Oceanum Group and Dragonfly for the collaboration throughout the roadshow.

The experience reinforced the value of listening to users, understanding how they work and designing technology around their practical needs.

What does it take to build a business that lasts for 20 years?

For Diversus, it has always come back to people.

Diversus was founded in 2006 with the belief that something different was needed in the market: a technology consultancy built on trust, collaboration and delivering what we promise.

Over the past two decades, graduates have become mentors and long-term client relationships have been built by working side by side with their teams.

A great deal has changed in 20 years, but our commitment to people has remained constant.

In this video, members of our team and client community reflect on the culture, relationships and values that have shaped Diversus.

A special thank you to Luke from HBF and Shawn from Amazon for sharing their experiences and helping us tell our story.

Twenty years, captured in one memorable evening.

It was a privilege to celebrate this milestone with so many of the people who have supported, challenged and grown alongside Diversus.

The evening was a reflection of what the past 20 years have been about: our people, our clients, and the relationships behind the work.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to every person who has played a part in the Diversus story since 2006.

Here’s a look back at the celebration.

While these results are specific to one organisation, the broader lesson is useful: successful AI adoption requires more than access to the technology.

A recently published professional-services case study reported 84% weekly active use of ChatGPT Enterprise, with 98.6% of surveyed employees saying it improved productivity. These are organisation-reported figures, so they are best treated as directional rather than universal.

The more useful lesson is how adoption was supported: regular AI forums, shared use cases, governance and direct involvement from people who understand the work.

In our experience, adoption is stronger when organisations move beyond licence counts and focus on:
• a small number of repeatable workflows
• clear ownership for each use case
• practical guardrails
• communities where teams share what works
• measures linked to time, quality or service outcomes

AI adoption is a change program. The technology is only one part of it.

Looking to turn AI access into meaningful adoption? Diversus can help you identify practical workflows, establish the right guardrails and support lasting change. Find out more: https://diversus.com.au/Our-solutions/AI-Consulting?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=organic_social

For Mosaic Community Care, onboarding a new client meant manually reviewing more than 50 documents and building a detailed profile to guide accommodation decisions.

The process could take weeks or even months, delaying support for people and families already under pressure.

We worked with Mosaic Community Care to build an assessment platform on AWS that reviews the information in minutes while keeping Mosaic’s team in control of every decision.

The outcome is faster and more consistent onboarding, better placement information and 38 hours of administration returned per client. Missing or incorrect documentation is also identified earlier, before it creates further delays.

This is technology supporting human judgement, not replacing it.

In September, members of our team will join Western Rock Lobster for its Digital Ecosystem Roadshow in Hillarys and Geraldton.

The roadshow will bring WRL’s new digital ecosystem to life, showing how Member Central connects fishers with tools including FishOps, Wharf Talk, weather and trip planning, safety resources, industry analytics and Back of Boat services through one secure login.

We’re pleased to support WRL alongside Veris, Oceanum and Dragonfly as the team demonstrates how these tools work together to create a simpler, more connected digital experience for Western Australia’s rock lobster industry.

It’s a practical example of what can be achieved through industry consultation, collaboration and a clear understanding of the people who will use the technology.
