Last minute decision and a bit of why not 🤷‍♂️ saw Donny head down to the Perth for a spin in his dad’s legend car… all because he’s been keen to get out there and race at the Plex! 🏁

Safe to say it paid off!
For his debut run, Donny did well taking out the feature win and fastest lap! 🔥

Couldn’t have done it without a huge thanks to Dad for the use of his car and @ Kenny and his team for all the support, from getting the car ready, bringing it to the track, and showing Donny the ropes behind the wheel of one of these cars. Really appreciate the time and guidance.

Fun has been had… now it’s time to switch gears and help Kenny get ready for tonight!

Donny didn’t take the easy way this weekend…

A flat tyre dropped a heat, sending him the long way through the B Main. He drove it hard, took the win 🙌 and earned P18 in the big dance.

Unfortunately the engine let go in the A Main and he had to pull infield early. That’s racing.

The positives are the new car is handling better every meeting.
He’s finishing heats. 👏
The pace is there.

A bit of work to do on the engine, but we’ll get that sorted and come back stronger.

All up it was a great weekend. A few sore heads this morning 😅 and as always he loves catching up with his mates that’s what it’s all about.

🏁 Back on Track This Weekend 🏁

After a short break from racing due to work and TAFE commitments, the DDR Team is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel this weekend at Collie Speedway for the ODH Mechanical SSA Street Stock Title. 🏆

Life and responsibilities may have kept us busy, but we’re ready to have a crack and enjoy some strong, competitive racing with our mates.
