YEAR 12s, IT’S TIME TO LOCK IN!

If last night’s Freo vs. Sydney prelim taught us anything, it’s that the fourth quarter can change everything.

The English WACE exam is on 30 October. There’s still time to sharpen your essays, strengthen your analysis and fix those little habits costing you marks.

Freo didn’t stop when they were behind at three-quarter time… and neither should you! Give your fourth quarter your best effort. ⚓️

Year 12s, are you guilty of believing the myth that you can’t study for English? Like the abominable snowman, it’s fake news! 👻

Revise language features, conventions of genre, write practice responses, re-read your studied texts, actively develop your vocabulary and seek feedback from a teacher or tutor.

There’s still time to put in the work so you can impress your WACE marker. ‼️There’s only 44 days until the ATAR English exam.

Too many students rush in to their response and neglect to consider and refine their expression of the course concept/s being tested. Taking a moment to write a decent argument statement can be the difference between a ‘mid’ and insightful response.
