Where we chose to spend: THE ENSUITE 🤍

The ensuite was one area we decided was absolutely worth the upgrade. We wanted this space to feel less like just another bathroom and more like a private retreat, somewhere buyers immediately see, feel and understand the level of finish.

We kept the foundation quiet and seamless with the beautiful Endless Taj tile from Tiles | Bathroomware | Hard Flooring | Tapware | Outdoor | Trade, using the same large-format tile across the floors and walls. Then we layered in the details that really elevated the space.

A statement floating timber vanity Timberline Australia and a double basins. Brushed gold tapware. Statement Freestanding bath Fienza - Bathroom | Kitchen | Laundry with floor-mounted bath filler. Rain head shower. Full-width shower ledge. Oversized illuminated mirror Timberline Australia Feature sconces Beacon Lighting. Under-vanity lighting. Concealed LED strip lighting. Sheer roller blinds by Wenshe Curtains complete the space.

The multiple layers of lighting were a big one for us too, allowing the room to go from bright and functional to soft and ambient, exactly what you want from a retreat.

And that’s the investment lesson.

Luxury isn’t always MORE. It’s better choices, beautifully layered.

Spend where buyers expect it. Create the feeling. And make it one of the rooms they remember.

A change of scenery from our usual renovation sites and an opportunity to work with one of our favourite suppliers!

This one was also a little extra special, with a work experience student joining Todd and getting some real hands-on experience along the way. From the little tricks and hacks to the things you only learn after years in the trade, there was plenty of knowledge being passed on.
