Our Carine jewellery studio is becoming a space for art and discovery — and you’re invited.

Little Secrets brings together intimate, small-scale paintings, printmaking and installation art by Haya Hagit Cohen and Shelley Cowper. An invitation to slow down, look closer and see how much meaning a small artwork can hold.

Meet the women behind the work:

✨ Haya Hagit Cohen
Discover Haya’s artistic world through thoughtful, experimental printmaking exploring body, self, environment and memory. Her work has been exhibited across Australia and internationally.

✨ Shelley Cowper
An artist for 25 years and Visual Arts lecturer at North Metropolitan TAFE, Shelley draws on her sailing adventures through remote Australia. Her prints and mixed-media works weave together landscape, personal experience and emotion.

What if your heirloom diamonds didn't have to stay tucked away in a jewellery box?

For this piece, we took our client's treasured heirloom diamonds and gave them a new chapter -creating a beautiful diamonds-by-the-yard necklace designed to be worn and enjoyed.

The diamonds haven't lost their history.
They've simply found a new way to tell it.

Because remodelling heirloom jewellery isn't about forgetting what came before. It's about carrying those memories forward in a piece that feels like you.

Would you wear your heirloom diamonds this way?

Follow DJCA for more real heirloom transformations and the stories behind them.

Who says you have to choose just one?

Different gemstones. Different colours. Different shapes - brought together to create one completely individual ring.

That's the beauty of bespoke jewellery. There doesn't have to be a rulebook. We can play with colour, proportion and placement until everything comes together in a way that feels just right.

And this one has plenty of little details to discover.

Which stone caught your eye first?

One became two… and now we're adding number three.

Over the years, a wedding stack can grow alongside your story - and for this client, it was time to add another chapter.

Once all three bands were exactly where she wanted them, we soldered them together to create one beautifully aligned piece.

It's a practical little change that can help reduce movement between the rings while keeping the stack sitting just as it should.

And we rather love the idea of three individual rings becoming one.

Would you solder your wedding rings together, or do you prefer to keep them separate?

Some holiday memories deserve more than a photograph. ❤

This beautiful ruby ring was bought while travelling - a little keepsake from a special time and place, and one of those pieces that can instantly take you back to a moment.

Years later, our client wanted to continue its story.

Using her treasured ring as inspiration, we created a bespoke pair of ruby earrings to match - a new piece, connected to an already special memory.

Because sometimes the best jewellery isn't just about what you're wearing.

It's about where it takes you.

Do you have a piece of jewellery you bought on holiday that still takes you straight back there, tell us below.

Can you see what's holding these diamonds in place?

That's exactly the point.

Invisible setting is designed to create an almost seamless surface of diamonds, with no visible claws between the stones.

Beautiful? Absolutely.
Simple to repair? Not quite.

It takes precision, experience and a very careful hand to restore an invisible setting while maintaining the look that makes it so special.

For this piece, our job wasn't to change its story -it was simply to make sure it could continue being worn and treasured.

Would you have known this setting was called an invisible setting?

Same story. A new generation.

This ring wasn't about recreating Grandad's exactly.

It was about taking the details that made his ring so special and using them as inspiration to create something individual for the next generation.

A beautiful reminder that keeping a family story alive doesn't always mean keeping things exactly as they were.

Sometimes, it's about carrying a little piece of the past forward - in your own way.

Would you recreate a piece of family jewellery in your own style?
